Default Ability to zoom peak views with mousewheel

I want to assign the mousewheel (or [modifier]-mousewheel) to increase/decrease the peak view.

The 'Increase peaks view gain' action is separate from the 'Decrease peaks view gain' action. You can only seem to be able to assign the mousewheel to one or the other at present.

Can we get a 'combined' action to be able to scroll the peak view up and down with the mousewheel just like you can do with the vertical and horizontal zoom please?

Not sure about assigning it to the mousewheel but with midi encoders you can have the following macro:

skip next action if CC parameter >0/mid
decrease the peak view
skip next action if CC parameter <0/mid
increase the peak view

my two cents

That works! just tried it with the mouse wheel now. Absolutely brilliant. Another awesome Reaper workaround.

Thank you! Works perfectly.
Alright... so that's how you do it then. Nevermind the feature request!

Alright glad to hear it works! Reaper has a lot of ways of doing things hehe. I love creating macros and assigning them to my encoders

Hi! I'm not that experienced with creating macro's in Reaper. can you guide me through how you get this functionality with the mouse wheel as you mention works?

I want to be able to option + shift + mouse wheel to adjust peaks view, like in pro tools.

All the best,
Lasse

Make a custom action with the 4 lines above. Name it, save it, and assign it to whatever keyboard shortcut you want just like any other action. The button to create a new custom action is right in the action dialog.

⌥⌘[ (⌥⌘]) is Protools so I used ⌥⌘-mousewheel for familiarity but you can assign whatever you want.
