I believe RR was deliberately brought into DOJ by Trump/Session. (Only 1 of 3 US Attorneys retained by Trump/Sessions.) Trump knew everything going in, or shortly after, IMO, and was building his team early on.

Taking Barr at face value from the CBS interview (he first learned of the issues justifying dismissal of the Flynn case last week), Occam’s razor suggests RR got a huge send off because he’s a high-ranking, long time DOJ guy and Barr is first and foremost an institutionalist

Barr, Rosenstein, and Giuliani were all players with Trump on the stings run by the FBI against the mob in the 1980’s. Rosenstein was part of the current investigation from day one.

He required Rosenstein to co-sponsor the Mueller obstruction decision- that there was no Obstruction. He kept him on to help keep up the decision from scrutiny. Then allowed him to retire. Barr is not going to show his cards. Keep up the pretense. Let Durham find the facts.

Rosenstein was the hat tip. He was the buffer into Mueller which only entrapped them all deeper into the frauds being committed. Trump could never have dropped the #Obamagate at day one with all the election aftermath. Its takes time to train a puppy, RR was the Pee Pad.

I am torn between RR being part of the swamp and flipping or just going to the position and spying on the coup prosecutors. I first had my doubts when RR and POTUS went to a rally together on AF1. What did they talk about?

It all boils down to this.... they never thought she’d lose. Now we’re trying to see who are the rats and who are the patriots. Kinda hard to tell in a swamp like DC. Some things make it seem like he could be either. Self preservation is motivating

My theory is the same as yours. It always has been.

Are we to believe that Barr didn't know exactly how Rosenstein had performed when he honored him with a grand farewell ceremony? A ceremony at which Barr lavished praise on him. I have a hard time doing that. DOJ honors Rosenstein with a farewell ceremony twitter.com/wordofbeak/sta

I think the meme entertains the most plausible situation. Not all of the "conspirators" were in from the onset. Many were used, deceived and given "Patsy" roles. RR knows that game. He got out when that opportunity presented itself.

I'll be very suprised if Rosenstein turns out to be a baddie. Listen to him in this speech.

Public perception is very important. The credibility/integrity of the Mueller report lies not with Mueller, or Barr, but with the resistance hero RR who oversaw it from start to finish. Attack on RR would have discredited the conclusion of NO COLLUSION.

The only reason I can come up with is he is working for Trump and Barr. It’s the only thing that makes sense and I’ve thought it since the beginning really but that’s just me.

Totally agree. Wray also might be involved. That way there are more than just RR and the AG. Look at the time line. RR appointment 4/26/17. Then he may have discussed need to do something with POTUS and Sessions prior to Comey firing 5/9/17. Then plan based on BIG picture

My opinion - RR is a Grey hat - He was a pawn of the deep state in the past, controlled and submissive to those traitors for fear of his own life. He was freed by the patriots and served our needs during our counter offensive.

I share yours Maybe you've just convinced me I sure was reading things that made me dislike him... then I took a step back and watched/read his own words/actions Realized I was being misled Things I thought were true simply weren't That's when my vetting of media got thorough
