Hi
Thank you for your continued efforts. Let's delete the printers listed on the Device Manager.
Simply right click and choose delete.
Then, disconnect the USB cable and run the Printer Install Wizard. Download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows < here.
The HP Printer Install Wizard for Window was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 users download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP Printer.

OK.....
1) Tried actions as suggested, but same USB error messages, so.....
Re-installed Windows 7, re-installed all Gigabyte Motherboard utilities.
Ran Gigabyte APP Centre, and updated application as appropriate, including a BIOS update.
2) Tried actions as suggested again, but same USB error messages.
There is around 1gb of Windows Updates waiting, so I will let those go and try again, but not
really expecting any change in outcome.

Bit more info........
I found an old HP DJ930c in my loft, I don't ever remember using it, however.....
Plugged it into the PC, 1 instance showed up in Device Manager, clicked to update Driver Software,
after a fair delay searching Windows Update, it downloaded driver and I was able to use it, albeit
nothing printed, as the ink nozzles are all clogged up, but paper passed through and it went through the motions.
Interestingly, when I plug the F2400 Into pc, 3 instances of F2400 show up in Device Manager, however
using the Update Driver Software does not work through Device Manager.
I am guessing the the 930c is way older than the F2480, so why should the 930 update through the Update
Driver Software, and not the F2480 ??

Thank you for your continued efforts.
Did you allow for all of the updates to complete after reinstalling Windows 7?
Also, I found something that might do the trick!
1) Run the HP installation package executable - DJ_AIO_06_F2400_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_175-4.exe
2) When asked to choose the extract directory, make a note of where it is installed. Easiest way would be to tell it to extract to a folder named HP on the Desktop. If you are not given the option, it will by default extract tot he Temp folder.
3) Navigate to the extracted installation folder - Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%
4) Go to the "Setup" subdirectory (Temp\7z folder\Setup) or (Desktop\HP\Setup)
5) Move, delete or rename the Intel USB System Check utility (usbready.exe)
6) Double click the Setup executable in the main extraction folder (Desktop\HP\Setup.exe)
This should allow the installation to work completely. - Source
Keep me posted.

Bingo Sunshyn2005 , thats got it.
Appreciate you efforts to get this sorted.
Got to agree with other contributors on the "source" thread..........
Why don't HP change the Installation package instead of having users make manual changes to their process.
I have been at this for over a week now, which is a big waste of my time $$$$.
Once again, many thanks for you time and effort !!

Hi @steadyeddie
I am so glad we got it figured out!!! I know this has been a frustrating experience for you, but in the end we got it working 🙂
Would you consider modifying which post you marked as 'Accept as Solution'? I believe Message 14 would be considered the solution. If you agree, please use the instructions below to make this change.
1. Go to the post you marked as the Accepted Solution
2. To the right of the subject line click on Options
3. Scroll down to 'Not the Solution' and click
4. Now you should be able to scroll to Message 14 and mark it as 'Accepted as Solution'
