promptは「促す、～させる」です。
carmakerは「自動車メーカー」です。car manufacturerとも言います。

防護服姿の工場作業員たちは、２４時間態勢で作業をしています。

protective gearは「防護服」です。
work around the clockは「昼夜なしに働く、２４時間態勢で作業をする」という表現です。

The state-owned company in Guangdong Province is currently producing 100,000 masks a day.

広東省にある国有企業は現在、１日当たり１０万枚のマスクを生産しています。

state-owned companyは「国有企業」です。
Guangdong Provinceは「広東省」の英語名です。
currentlyは「現在」という副詞です。

It plans to increase the number of production lines and aims to put out 1 million masks a day by the end of this month.

この企業は生産ライン数の増加を計画していて、今月末までに１日当たり１００万枚のマスクを生産することを目指しています。

production lineは「生産ライン」です。
aimは「目指す」です。
ここでのput outは「生産する」という意味です。

The province has the second largest number of new coronavirus infections in mainland China after Hubei.

広東省は、新型コロナウイルスの感染数が、中国本土においては湖北省に次いで２番目に多くなっています。

the province「この省」は、センテンス３に出てきた広東省を指しています。
infectionは「感染」という名詞です。
mainlandは「本土」です。
ここでのafterは「～に次いで」という意味です。

Five production lines have been set up in a space previously used for auto parts research and development.

もともと自動車部品の研究開発に使われていたスペースに、５本の生産ラインが設けられました。

set upは「設ける、設置する」という句動詞です。
previouslyは「もともと、かつて」という副詞です。
auto partsは「自動車部品」です。
research and developmentは「研究開発」という意味で、R&Dと略して表記されることもあります。

Masks produced there will be provided to the company's industrial group employees and medical facilities.

ここで生産されたマスクは、この企業グループの従業員のほか、医療機関にも提供されます。

provideは「提供する」です。
industrial groupは「企業グループ」です。
medical facilityは「医療機関」です。
生産ラインには車づくりで培った自動化の技術が生かされていて、マスクはグループの従業員のほか、医療機関などにも供給されるということです。

スマートフォンや衣服、その他の商品を中国で生産する企業も、マスクの生産に転換しています。

firmは「企業、会社」です。
apparelは「衣服」です。
shiftは「転換する」です。ここでは、異業種がマスク生産に参入している様子を表しています。
