31 (Thirty One) / Baskin Robbins

Baskin Robbins is a very famous ice cream chain that was established in the USA in 1953. Because everyone loves ice cream, of course when they opened their first store in Japan people went wild. It was a remarkable event for ice cream lovers because that was the first ice cream chain ever in Japan. 31 was the pioneer in Japan's ice cream world.
Since most months have 31 days and 31 has more than 1200 different flavours of ice creams, they offer 31 different flavours every month, and that is how people refer Baskin Robbins as 31 in Japan.

They have 3 different sizes - from the left: kids, regular, and king. Regular is around 1.6 times bigger than kids size, and king is 25% bigger than the regular size.

You can also choose small double or regular double (shown in left and right respectively), and they have cones, cups and waffle cones available. They sometimes offer a campaign called "Triple Challenge", where you get to eat three scoops of ice cream at a price of double scoops.

Menu

Their popular standard flavours are as follows: vanilla, love portion 31, very very strawberry, popping shower, strawberry cheesecake, rum raisin, orange sorbet, Uji matcha, red bean, cookie and cream, Rocky Road,... AND SO MUCH MORE! Japanese ice cream flavors are so popular that you can see them in the convenient store and supermarket with many season limited flavors to choose from.
Their seasonal flavours are always fun and exciting! They offer, for example, camouflage flavours. You must be thinking, what does that even mean? Well, their camouflage flavours have 3 different kinds, standard camouflage, pink camouflage, and blue camouflage. And guess what, camouflage is a mix of pistachio, salted caramel and chocolate! What a golden combination. Pink camouflage consists of strawberry, raspberry and cherry coral sorbet flavours, and this shocking blue camouflage is made of lychee, soda sorbet and blueberry flavours! Yum! Beautiful and tasty!
Other seasonal menu items include Wild Amazon (tropical fruits, avocado and caramelized cashew nuts),
Peach Mellow Extreme (yellow peach sorbet, peach puree and peach pulp),
Chocolate Cookie Crackle (chocolate ice cream, chocolate cookie, and crunchy chocolate),
Sunrise Sorbet (top right; guava, mango and coconut),

There are seven 31st days in a year (January, March, May, July, August, October, and December) and on the 31st of each month and the 1st of March, you get 31% off for double cone and double cup!! It's amazing how summer months have 31st in almost each month. 31 knows how to make us feel good and excited.
Check out more information on 31's website (link below)! Although the website is only available in Japanese, it is still interesting and fun to see all 31 flavors menu that is available for the month.
