Yes, Giulio Prisco, it could just turn out to be a different mathematical formalism for the same thing, since any mathematical formula has an infinite number of equivalent representations (e.g., 4 can equal 2+2, 2*2, 2², 2!, or 1+3, ad infinitum). (Or at least, in the case of Dr. Stephen Wolfram’s program, his formalism could turn out to be equivalent at the limit of infinity, since he starts with discrete functions, rather than continuous functions. And I notice that Wolfram himself states that his discrete formalism would require an extraordinary number of iterations, something on the order of 10⁵⁰⁰, before it starts to resemble something close to our universe.)
However, there has been an extreme unwillingness on the part of the physics community in accepting the ultimate cosmological implications of standard physics due to standard physics unavoidably producing the Cosmological Singularity, a.k.a. God. This extreme theological discomfort on the part of the physics community is what held up acceptance of the Big Bang cosmology for some 40 years, even though it was already an unavoidable result of standard physics since Prof. Georges Lemaître’s work on this subject in 1927. Indeed, one of the principal goals of alternative proposed new physics such as String Theory and the other proposals has been an attempt to eliminate the Cosmological Singularity, although to the extent that such alternative proposals are actually physically realistic (e.g., capable of incorporating Quantum Mechanics), then the initial Big Bang and the final Big Crunch aspects of the Cosmological Singularity are every bit as unavoidable in said alternative proposed new physics due to Liouville’s Theorem in complex analysis.
My radical proposal is that these amazing, beautiful, personally-empowering, nihilism-busting and therefore society-uplifting results of standard physics should be far more publicized and known by the general public, instead of being swept under the rug by academia while it pretends that standard physics hasn’t always proclaimed God’s glory. But then, we’re running into a particular nihilistic political pose — a nihilistic mindset — which prevents such. Mostly from the subconscious level, the establishment has desired that government be God and the only God.
The evolutionary psychological reason for the bizarre behavior of physicists rejecting physical law when it demonstrates God’s existence is due to the naturally-evolved Jaynesian demons seeking to distance people from genuine knowledge of God so that the demons may instead falsely present themselves as God. Among many permutations of this, it often manifests as various forms of etatism: the state becomes God. Demons are quite real, they however exist as naturally-evolved Minskian agent subset programs operating on the wet-computer of the human brain. For more on this, see my following article:
