Events are developing rapidly, and knowledge of what kind of disease it is and how to deal with it appear much more slowly. Something has already become clear.
Since the end of December, the entire world press has been reporting daily on the front pages of a new infectious disease caused by the coronavirus COVID-19. It is characterized by symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections, in a significant number of cases turning into severe pneumonia.
Events are developing rapidly, information is constantly updated.
In the city of Wuhan with a population of 11 million, where the first cases of the disease were recorded, quarantine was introduced, and railway and air communications were interrupted with it. Two temporary hospitals with thousands of beds are urgently being built there. Numerous cases of the disease were recorded in Japan, the USA, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, France, Germany, Canada, Russia and some other countries.
Scientists and doctors recommend not traveling to China until the epidemic is completely stabilized. Moreover, do not appear in crowded places at the place of residence, children do not go to schools, colleges or universities - it is better to stay at home and play useful and educational Friv4school games, in other words, go to quarantine! This also applies to more adults. It's not a joke!

The main cause of death in people with coronavirus disease is the progressive destruction of the lung tissue, leading to acute uncontrolled respiratory failure (respiratory distress syndrome).
How is the Disease Manifested?
The incubation period, that is, the time elapsed from the moment of infection to the appearance of the first signs of the disease, is from 1 to 14 days. So far, there is reason to believe that when a person infects a person, it does not exceed 5 days, and if the virus is transmitted from an animal, the incubation period will last longer.
A distinctive feature of the COVID-19 coronavirus, according to Chinese doctors, is that it can be transmitted from person to person already in the incubation period, before the disease enters the active phase.
A sick person at this stage looks healthy, and contact with him does not seem dangerous, which increases the risk of infection.
Symptoms of the disease are similar to symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections in mild cases and with symptoms of SARS in severe cases.

How to Avoid Infection?
The media write that in China people line up for medical masks, but experts believe that this method of protection is not particularly effective.
The recommendations of the World Health Organization and medical agencies around the world cause disappointment among citizens. There are no vaccines, for obvious reasons, from the new virus, and all other measures seem too simple and do not guarantee protection even against ordinary flu or SARS.
Nevertheless, these elementary rules still allow you to reduce the likelihood of infection by viruses transmitted by airborne droplets, and therefore once again recall them.
Wash your hands often with soap, do not forget to treat the surface between the fingers and under the nails. The duration of this hygiene procedure should be at least 20 seconds. Keep in mind that antibacterial soap does not have advantages over ordinary, but if you do not have access to water and soap for a long time, you can treat your hands with a disinfectant gel or alcohol-containing agent.
Try not to touch your face with dirty hands, especially the mucous membranes, eyes, mouth.
During an outbreak, avoid contact with patients and crowded places whenever possible.
Wet with disinfectants. Especially carefully treat the surfaces with which you most often come in contact.
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when sneezing and coughing.
And one more rule, specific in terms of the danger of coronavirus infection: always wash your hands thoroughly after contact with animals.
Stay healthy!
