Apart from very mediocre battery life for the battery size and limited refresh rate/resolution options, there's aren't anything else to complain about this phone. The display is great as always, the speakers are even better than already-great Note 10, performance is top notch (though it's unclear how well it holds up against SD865) and the cameras show some massive improvement over its predecessors. One UI 2.1 now feels a lot more refined too, unlike the 1.0 which I didn't find particularly pleasing to use.
It's funny how S20 Ultra's 70% larger main sensor is barely contributing to improving the image quality, as it only managed to score a win in 4x and higher zoom range over its smaller siblings solely thanks to its dedicated 4x telephoto lens. Shutter speed is slower on Ultra during the day as well, oddly enough. The regular S20 has a faster, more accurate focusing system, dedicated DRAM for the sensor, less noisy 8K recording in low light, higher quality "high resolution" mode and better zoom under 4x. Pretty ironic for having a "Ultra" name scheme, isn't it..
Overall, it looks like S20+ sitting in the middle is the phone to buy for most people who are looking for this year's Galaxy flagship - (most likely) better battery life than the regular S20 but more practical size and cameras than S20 Ultra, and it's cheaper. I can't wait for its review to come up!
1.07 optical zoom in flagship phone for 900 euro. Samsung must be joking.

IPhone doesn't meet those requirements and does drop frames too. And stop using bad screen recording apps for recording your gaming footage,it won't lag.
Battery is down to zero in quick time with the iphone. ROG 2 can give you 7hr of PUBG play all the while charging the battery faster and having multiple WiFi antennas for the best network experience no matter where you are. No ecosystem of gaming accessories quickly reduces potential of iPhone as a competitive gaming device. This is why the other guy thought comparing iPhone to ROG 2 is unfair since the ROG 2 crushes it's competitors.
Flgshp2020, 3 hours agoYes the ROG 2 with SD855 smokes the iPhone 11 pro (forget XR) in gaming.
The iPhone starts to... moreNot actually. The ROG two is a beast in gaming but when we start talking competitive pubg, even iPhone 8 plus is better. Every android no matter how good always lag in competitive matches or custom rooms for competition when you record your gameplay at 720p and above(I know because im a competitve PUBGM player). Though I believe it is not totally Androids fault, pubg is optimized for apple devices. Apple devices never frame drop even in the most intense situations. I have a friend who uses the OP 7t for competitive pubg and he says it lags when he records at 1080P with sound in custom rooms.

You say Samsung failed to deliver because it throttles and charges 1000 plus dollars when in reality, iPhone delivers sub par experience compared to gaming phones which cost less. So they are technically a failure too.

No thank you I'll rather buy S20 with fast charging, higher refresh rate display, better OS.
IPhone is so last year besides not putting up with that ugly notch on the front.
Zakx, 3 hours agosamsung are you ok?No, because I score lower than the Huawei P30, iPhone 11 Pro, and even Mi 9. Facts.

The iPhone starts to throttle after continuous usage.
Please review the Snapdragon version. Please, many regions had this version and it make a big difference. Or at least do the battery test.

I can't even play PUBG Mobile at HDR Extreme (60fps) without any throttling, smoothly.
Lifeafter also stutters at even HDR 60fps (no antialiasing).
COD Mobile lags hard in BR and Zombie mode at Very High graphics, maximum framerate (capped to 60fps).
Black Desert Mobile also stutters at maximum possible graphics after 30-ish minutes.
Also undemanding games such as World of Tanks cannot maintain sustained 60fps in few cases (with anisotropic filtering at 2x and no antialiasing) and Armed Heist won't run too smoothly at high 60fps.
Now who's talking rubbish?

Also try demanding games such as PUBG Mobile, Shadowgun Legends, and Fortnite and crank it to maximum settings (at 60fps only). Compare it with other handsets running at Sd855 and just an iPhone XR/XS.
Once you've tested the phone, tell me the results. I will wait.
