Distance between the earth and the moon in football fields?

I heard today that in 2030 an asteroid the size of 2 football fields will be passing between the moon and the earth. Which got me wondering how many football fields are between the two? I learned online that between the sun and earth you would fit aprox' 1,370,000,000 football fields?

The distance to the moon is around 235,000 miles which is 413,600,000 yards. A football field is 100 yards. 413,600,000 / 100 = 4,136,000 football fields.

Seems easier to work out than I had anticipated! Thank you!

The distance from earth to moon is 238,900 miles

A football field is 120 yards long

So that's about 3,503,867 football fields

Google tells me there are approximately 1.261 billion feet between the Earth and the Moon (I don't know if thats atmosphere to atmosphere or surface to surface, but it's close enough for an estimate). A football field from upright to upright is 360 feet (100 yards of field and then two 10 yard endzones). So about 3,502,777 and 3/4 football fields between the Earth and Moon.

Interestingly, the Saturn V (the rocket that took mem to the moon) is just about the same length as a football field (363 ft. IIRC). So we could have just built three and a half million of them and stacked 'em up.

I've been hired to make a tuxedo for a llama and I don't have it's measurements. I'm also assuming the llama is male.

The measurements needed are: Length of legs from just above hoof (ankle?) to bottom of torso Height from bottom of torso to back of neck Distance around neck Width across shoulders

Thank you!

Edit: I'm really glad you guys are enjoying this but credit needs to go where it's due: my friend is on reddit! u/DJ117Xx is the one doing all this, I'm just making a jacket and shirt

Edit to answer the most popular comments: Yes, this is real. It is an age old tale of a sibling who will go to any lengths to playfully spite his sister.

There will be pictures, because I'm afraid for my safety if I didn't post them. The big day is March 1. I'm trying to get u/DJ117Xx to post them, as he's the one actually doing all this and should get all the awards and karma. I'm just making clothes.

And thanks to all who gave really insightful tips on how to go about this, you're the greatest and I'm learning a lot!

I have to go do work now, but I want to all to know I've been ending every argument with "Excuse you Karen but I am famous on the Reddit."

I guess i've always had an astigmatism and thought it was totally normal to see long lines extending from lights at night. ...completely floored, tell me that i'm not alone...

Google "astigmatism lights" to see what i mean for those normies out there.

Saw someone struggling to type on their phone today with those bad boys, and i cannot wrap my head around the mechanics of this. Do they use the back of their hand? Is there a glove? Do they just stop pooping all together?

I've said "we" and "our' since I can remember and was just wondering if that's normal or completely weird.

Edit: We are not alone.

TLDR: asked for permission then guided a blind person I didn’t know by the arm to the register in a busy restaurant. Questions at the bottom.

I was at a restaurant yesterday with a friend, sat in front of a large window that was facing a busy intersection. We saw two people approach, one who was blind and one who was not. The person who was not blind left to a car after they said goodbye, and the blind person walked toward the restaurant. She took a minute to find the door, as it was in a weird alcove. I wondered if I should open the door and guide her in since I could nearly reach it from our table, but I hesitated since her friend would have walked her to the door if she wanted I figured. The restaurant was a weird layout and it would have taken her ages/bumping into stuff to find the register. So when she did come inside, I approached her and asked her if I could walk her to the register. She said sure. I told her I was going to take her arm and I did, and introduced myself. I walked her to the register, told her there was one person ahead of her, and wished her a good day and left her.

This whole thing made me realize I know nothing about the experiences of blind people navigating public spaces. Was that alright? What could I have done better? What else do blind redditors want folks to know? How accessible is reddit via text-to-speech, or what do blind people use to access reddit? (Is there a better subreddit for this?) Thanks in advance!

Edit: thanks for all of the responses and awards!! I don’t have time to reply to them all, but I appreciate it.

In the mornings, I typically have two cups of coffee and I would still feel tired after those a lot of the time. However, I went to the casino yesterday and had a little bit of Pepsi at 3:30 PM while I was there and at 10 PM I felt wide awake and had a hard time falling asleep and I could not fall asleep until 2 AM and two Xanax later.

Why is it that caffeine fails to fully awake me in the morning, but it prevents me from sleeping even if I have just a tiny bit of pop with caffeine at 3:30 PM?

Sometimes I see posts with like 1k comments and I scroll out of curiosity and it just goes on forever. I just think, what's the point of leaving a comment? It'll just be lost.

After the whole "inner monologue" discussion I learned pretty much everyone can vividly visualize things in their mind. I can't, and didn't think anyone could. After talking to several people and hearing the level of detail they can "see" it was fascinating and made me a bit jealous.

Then I realized a lot of things that I thought were just "concepts" like counting sheep to fall asleep is literal for a lot of people. So it got me thinking of other things I believe were just ideas could be literally seen by others. So I come to you for answers.

You would think, like with other things you use a lot, or see a lot they start appearing in your dreams, that your smartphone would to.

Yup, I'm dumb.

When walking in a public place and I'm passing people, am I supposed to look them all in the eye? Look at my shoes? Look past them at the background? Look down at my phone?

What if I'm in a small hallway passing a stranger closely and no one else is around? Seems like it would be weird to walk by so close and not acknowledge their presence somehow.

Please help.

Title pretty much says it all. She has a plan to kill herself on Monday and she needs immediate intervention. She refuses to seek help or go to an inpatient

I also know the location at which she wants to kill herself and how. It will be on the train tracks where the trains go 140 km/h

Update: I have contacted all the necessary authorities to get her help. Thank you so much to everyone who helped
