How easy is it to remove the Sonos speakers from the mount? I want to use them outside, but obviously don't want to leave them there permanently?

Question:

Does this bracket have to moundted flush? or does it sit out a bit for the cord?

Answer:

It sits out about 3/4" and there is a built in notch for the wires in the middle. Very easy to hide the wires.

Does the job, you get what you pay for

Ordered this for my Sonos Beam because I didn’t want to drop $60 on the official one. You get what you pay for, but it does do the job.

The mount itself feels pretty sturdy, well made, comes with a wall template and some flimsy mounts. The instructions give no guidance as to what drill bit to use for the mounts and the company didn’t respond to a message asking ( hence, why 3 stars...). Why this wouldn’t be included in the instructions is beyond me but that plus the no response isn’t a good look to me.

The installation itself was fairly straight forward but I should have followed my gut and used my own drywall mounts. The ones that came with it just felt a little flimsy and the screws didn’t really seat right so there was a little bit of play in the mount. Ultimately it was fine and doesn’t move once I put in the bottom screw mounts and it does it’s job, but for $30 you get a $30 mount and half price customer service.

Solid high quality mount, get some foam weather striping for the back on install

Very solid piece, it is dimpled on the bends to give it extra strength. Lost a star for install and buzzing rattle between it and the wall (fix below.)

Love this and feel it is well priced. It actually includes decent anchors, but the manual should have stated the drill bit size (can't remember which one that I chose, but make sure that it is one that makes a very snug hole for the anchor to keep it from spinning.) Note, you need to tighten the screws up, and keep going till it gets harder again, otherwise the anchor won't collapse properly and they can pull loose.

After install I noticed an annoying buzzing rattle due to the slight gap that the anchors create between the wall and the mount. I solved this with stick on felt furniture sliders that I had, but it would have been nice if the company included a thin die-cut weather strip-like sticker for the back of it. I would recommend tightening the screws and anchors before adding the insulation to engage them, then take them off and install again with the insulation material.

Very nice addition to mount Sonos Sound Beam

This is a very nice addition to add a Sonos Sound Beam to a wall mounted TV. Overall the instructions were decent but could be better. For example, the vertical bars that attach to the wall mount have a ridge on them. It is not as clear as it could be to tell whether these ridges should go up or down.

There was a nice assortment of hardware provided and in my case (LG 50UM7300 TV) wall mounted TV, everything worked out very well. I am very please with the final result. Using this mount prevented me from having to add more holes to the wall (as with the Sonos official wall mount) and results in a clean installation.

This is a very nice product and I would not hesitate to order it again if another situation calls for it.

I did not want to pay this much for a mount for my SONOS Play 1 speaker BUT.. after some thought I figured, hey, I already spent some $ for some great SONOS speakers might as well match em' with some great quality wall mounts!
And you know what?? l think I made the right choice. I'm very pleased with the overall quality. Clean, solid built design, they compliment the SONOS speakers very well. Installation is a breeze- make sure you have a decent drill it will make it easier for you. If you're on the fence about it, just do it! 5 stars baby

I installed 2 of these brackets today. One in my bathroom and one in my basement. They are made of steel, which is heavy. You can tell you have a quality product when you pick it up. The bracket comes with 2 anchors, 2 mounting screws, and a mounting bolt that is hand screwed into the back of the SONOS: Play 1 speaker, which hooks onto the bracket once it's mounted on the wall. It also comes with nice little screw covers which go over the screw heads once the bracket is mounted so you can't see the screws. You will need a 1/4" drill bit, a cordless drill, and a hammer to install the anchors. The screws are phillips head so you'll need a phillips head screwdriver to screw in the screws and make adjustments. It's very simple.

I originally had the SONOS: Play 1 speaker downstairs sitting on a table next to my workout bench. I have a finished basement btw, with carpet and a finished ceiling. I mention that because it may affect the quality of sound if you don't have drywall or carpet in your basement and plan to put one of these down there you may get some echo. Mounting this speaker to the wall not only clears up space and allows me to get rid of that table, but also seems to do a better job of filling the room with sound since the speaker is mounted a bit higher, and points down.

The bracket swivels up, down, left and right. You can point the speaker in any direction you want. The nice thing about it is that you can then tighten the bracket with a phillips head screwdriver so that whichever position you want the speaker in it will stay that way. This bracket has also allowed me to mount this speaker in my bathroom close to the ceiling, clear of any water splashes during vigorous showers :), and I LOVE to listen to music in the shower. Since the SONOS:Play1 is moisture resistant, I can shower stress free with super hot water like I like it knowing the speaker is going to be just fine mounted there on my wall.

I would highly recommend this bracket for anyone looking to clear up some space with their sonos system or even if you're looking for a more tidy look. I can see myself purchasing several more of these in the future.
