To the Demolishing King of Asakusa, I love you . To the captain of the 7th fire brigade, I love you. To Benimaru Shinmon, I love you. Did I mention how much I adore you, how much your very presence delights me?

Happy birthday, Benimaru.

If not, then now that fact is now known. With five months of official husbando status, you have dominated a majority of my autumn as I watch Fire Force every week during the season. Along with a handful of other animes, Fire Force gives me something to look forward to after a long, tiresome week of schooling. Benimaru, you are the reason why I take such interest in Fire Force. Of course, I love the concept of pyrokinetic firefighters and the character designs but you snatch the cake away from all of those reasons. I helplessly chase after you and the cake as it is my favorite dessert food period. And you... you my favorite character. The word pains me more than anything else in the universe. Optimistically, you also my husbando. Now, that is a marvelous word. And this is husbando month, a month of love- a month for my love to spew and corrupt my body as well as my profile. It is a month for you and as glorious as the flames of the sun. After all, you are a king (who I really wish would incinerate my math homework).

Funnily enough, you are the reason this blogging spree exists. Shiny, Aqua and I have had many scuffles over your heart. You are quite popular actually. In efforts to steal your heart, a composition is born from the bottom of my own heart. This is my heart in exchange for yours. I see you as a person who finds things that are short, simple, and straight to the point the sweetest. I have dragged this out far more than I needed to. So here is one blog. Just one more blog- a single serenade for a fleeting heartfelt autumn romance that carried itself over the winter. I promise to treasure it even if it only lasts until the snow kisses the earth.

I have always been fond of eyes- particularly the eyes of figments of my hopeless romantic musings. I could not help but notice your eyes. Magenta. Those bright magenta orbs create a stark contrast against your ebony locks. What’s more is that those orbs have an interesting pattern on them. I suppose you could call it a pattern. It is more like a distinct style to his eyes. One eye has an “x” and the other has an “o” like a tic-tac-toe game or the letters at the end of a love letter. Fire force has a variety of characters with gorgeous eyes as eyes are essential to the universe’s pryokinesis. They glow and illuminate the dark of the night and the smoke of Infernals. Breathtaking. Truly, breathtaking. They are warm in a welcoming sense despite the displeased expression he sports when the 8th brigade enters the scene. I love it when you activate your pyrokinesis out of rage, preparing to put uninvited horned Infernals that wreak havoc on your beloved town to rest. You may grimace at the thought of exerting more power into slaying an Infernal but that is where you’re at your best. There is something whimsical inside those vivid windows of the soul; they captivate and alleviate. Your eyes put me to rest. Typically, such colors would alarm the mind. Warm hues, i.e. red, orange, yellow and everything in between, do not have the most calming color connotations. However, fuchsia irises somehow offer solace among the sweet chaos of your jurisdiction. These eyes reign over the buildings of Asukasa. They lurk, they protect. You are akin to a cat sauntering in the night for prey, protecting what is yours. You are a king with orbs of perception. These eyes appear apathetic but hold a storm in its very core. They are a story that seemingly goes on forever, enchanting me with each page. Each paragraph is cathedral. I want to lose myself in them. I could stare into those deep rose-like spectacles for an eternity. You. Have. Beautiful. Eyes.

you are a king like no other.

A king is thought to be the strongest. A king is thought to be the most authoritative. He is the one that leads the people when they are blinded by despair. You are a king. A demolishing king. A king like no other. It is refreshing. One assumes that the king would have the utmost confidence in their abilities as both a sovereign and their abilities. That is how a monarch should compose themselves. It’s a standard set in stone. But what is standard in Asukasa? There are no standards. The people are free like their monarch. Benimaru, the king of this town, is a king free of the shackles, the fine print of the title. Instead, you are the embodiment of every “proper” kings anxieties. You find that your lieutenant is more suitable for the position of captain than you are. You hesitate to make grand decisions due to the fear of disappointment and failure. Regardless of prowess, doubt is crawling and tantalizing in the back of your mind. You are vulnerable. You still seek guidance in the mist of smoke. Infernals roar. The town is on fire yet you are at a loss of words and more. Your brilliant eyes scan the horizon for the person you find succor in. Peace. You are at peace. You are king who leans towards his advisor on numerous occasions. It should be frowned upon. Even he shakes his head at times. The background echoes: you are strong; you can fly high without him. You truly are, Benimaru. Konro will not be by your side forever to see you blossom into your fullest potential. You are ample and you deserve the world. Your uncertainty irks me at times as I see what you’re capable of. I know what you are capable of. I believe in you and I want you to understand how your townspeople view you. You are not a sorry excuse for a captain. You are simply a king with many worries. You are fit for the crown, my dearest. Upon another’s head, it wouldn’t look right at all.

I am drawn to powerful auras. You are no different. While you stray away from my standard lover, you do possess authority. You may not be an albino nor do you engage in flirtatious activities but you do, however, sit with excellent posture in a throne of your own. The mightiest fire solider is thriving in his natural environment without a care in the world. Power? What power? The empire? Where? I admire that you have no bounds with your power yet you remain level-headed and humble. You may not desire the position but you are the most suitable. The strongest fire soldier who can both create and manipulate his own flames should be out on the front lines. You are gem meant for the spotlight. With the fair amount of appearances you’ve made, I beam in sheer elation. “Benimaru is here,” I exclaim to myself. You are a joy to understand, to observe. I can not vouch for everyone when I say that I believe you are a fan favorite but do know that you are my favorite. Someone who is as, excuse my French, badass as you could not possibly dodge the shower of love from fans in all directions. “Benimaru is cool,” they say and I wholeheartedly agree. Watching you move is akin to spectating a sunrise- serene and winsome. The lustrous chroma stun me. Unable to maneuver, I sigh with euphoria lingering in my throat. I reminisce over the trials you have conquered. I long to embrace you for the valiant luminary you are. You are overwhelmingly Herculean and I am love sick for you because of that and so many reasons more.
