講師: Bobray Bordelon (Economics and Finance Librarian/Data Services Librarian, Princeton University)
本ワークショップは、講師にプリンストン大学図書館のデータライブラリアン、Bobray Bordelon氏をお招きします。Bordelon氏は2017年に ICPSR's William H. Flanigan Award を受賞、ICPSR サマーセミナーなどでも講師を担当されています。
講義では人文社会系分野における世界の主要なデータアーカイブ（ICPSR、UKDA、GESISなど）について、利用方法、運営などについて概観し、ぞれぞれの特徴を比較検討します。
研究者、学生のみならず、図書館職員、URA、その他研究支援職員など幅広い学術関係者のご参加をお待ちしております。
Abstract:
Many nations have national data archives that are charged with curating government funded research data.
In other countries, a university acts as the default national data archive.
Best features, access methods, diversity of holdings, documentation, preservation, software formats, and languages will be compared and contrasted leading to recommendations and discussion for the ideal data archive.
Biography of Bobray Bordelon:
Bobray Bordelon is the Economics and Finance Librarian/Data Services Librarian at Princeton University since 1993.
He has been awarded ICPSR's William H. Flanigan Award and the BRASS Award for Excellence in Business Librarianship.
He is very active in the American Library Association and is a previous convener of the Association of College & Research Libraries Numeric & Geospatial Data Services Interest Group.
He is currently a Member at Large for the United States on the IASSIST Administrative Committee; serves on ICPSR Council and the Roper Center Archival Advisory Committee; and teaches in the ICPSR Summer program.
Additional services provided were a decade of service with the New Jersey State Data Center and serving as director of the Cultural Policy & the Arts National Data Archive.
He is a frequent speaker at conferences and has written on a number of topics in the areas of business and data librarianship.
