I was just looking at the Pleiades about a week ago. There was a beautiful meteor right next to it. The meteor traveled slow and broke up into many pieces. It was one of the best I've seen.
M45 the Pleadies is an open cluster with faint nebulosity.
Details
Date and Location- 2010-10-07 at the Victoria Centre Observatory.
Conditions- clear, calm and 9 degC with good seeing.
Equipment- QSI- Hyperstar camera on 14" SCT and Paramount ME.
Exposure- 60x60sec lights with dark, flat and bias frames for calibration.
Processing in Deep Sky Stacker and Photoshop.
can you post one of the 60 sec exposures?
I still don't know which ones are the other two sisters, but by god it's still a gorgeous formation. Great shot! :)
