''But we know. We wanted freedom. They killed us all" This gave me shivers.

  2. Now think of the millions displaced by the regime, you think they'll forget? Grudges and hatreds being seeded now for generations to come.

  3. The guy who dug up the grave is likely a pro-regime local that had to flee following rebel takeover. He never forgot who displaced him after 6-7 years. A little known local would be FSA commander who got killed in 2014 by ISIS and most forgot off.

  10. Houthis did not manage to maintain control of the north bcz they r strong. They did bcz the coalition has systematically weakened & divided government & anti Houthi forces. Coalition airstrikes targeted govt forces dozens of times killing hundreds of govt soldiers since 2015.

  11. More Syrian civilians have been murdered by the Syrian State than were killed by the French mandate and in every war with Israel since 1948. This country is broken.

  14. So long as Syria is ruled by such hyenas, it will remain a land fit only for beasts and mules, a blight on the region and the world, and cursed for generations to come.

  15. "State institutions" are back in Idlib

  16. Syrian pro-regime fighters have filmed themselves torturing civilians, executing them, with chopped heads of people they've beheaded, desecrating mosques and gravesites. Because they're doing this to Syrians & not Western hostages, very few care.

  17. The regime will never show mercy to anyone who stood against it, even if they settle their status. This blood-letting will continue indefinitely, and the murder will never end. Would like aid agencies and governments to remember this as they encourage/force refugees to return.

  19. This is exactly why I will never go back to so long as these monsters are in control. I can never, ever in my whole live with such sick ppl who not only derive joy from mass crime.. they kill ppl and desecrate their graves. This is fucked up.

  20. This is sickening. Assadists' joy doesn't just end with killing their own ppl.. they want to kill people and destroy and disrespect their graves. Unbelievable.

  21. says the number of foreign meddlers has grown in a big way in lately. This is utterly false. The set of foreign meddlers has been identical for the last half-a-decade. Dubious analysis from . What’s changed is the aggressiveness of the same interferers

  22. Again, this is why fleeing refugees took the gravestones of their loved ones with them. Even the dead won’t escape Assad’s wrath.

  31. Ahmad Sharida defected from the Syrian Army in 2011 & worked in the humanitarian sector in Quneitra during the war. In 2018, when the regime took over the area, he surrendered & "settled his status." He was still arrested & held in Sednaya. His family just learned he was executed

  32. Poorly investigated piece. I'm surprised how did publish this without doing any fact-checking. Majority of people who've been quoted in the article were either former Taliban officials or are currently group's surrogates appearing on TVs.

  33. Saraqeb. There are no people, the city is empty. Most of the residents left after the outbreak of the clashes and bombardment. Many houses are destroyed, the streets are torn apart by pits. In short, a ghost town, like so many others.
