How long till the newest TR outpost in Taftanaz gets besieged by Assad's forces ? 3 days ? 2 days ? Just 1 ? Make your bet.

Incredible how most if not all those who lost their mind when #suleimani got killed or when #Turkey attacked the #YPG in northeast Syria are nowhere to be found when a million people are cleansed from their homes.

Unbelievable images of hundreds of thousands on the run from Syrian regime and Russian advances. Not even a serious discussion of international action. Even the bloodless expressions of concern sound disinterested and rehearsed. twitter.com/ejbeals/status

Biryani aficionado;
Let it be remembered that in early 2020 there was a thousand times bigger outcry in the “civilized West” over the targeting of one man, Soleimani, a mass murderer himself, than the violent and sectarian uprooting of 500,000 Syrian civilians by a regime he helped save.

I'm doing a quick Twitter search on recent battles in Khan Tuman (Aleppo). I'm struggling to find something in Arabic because most posts are in Farsi. In case you were wondering about the extent of Iranian involvement there ...

This situation is mostly the work of so-called NATO allies. You can't criticise Turkey in Syria under a NATO perspective while keeping silence on US, UK, FR and others Europeans' actions in Syria. They are literally supporting the PKK against Turkey.

If Turkey, the 2nd largest standing military force in NATO is not even able to repell the Syrian Arab Army, maybe we should consider what's its role and how much it's useful in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Yet with many TR camps currently besieged by the regime coalition, Syrian Rebels forces in full deroute and the US still supporting the PKK, Turkey is exceptionally vulnerable in case of a conflict. This is truly the worse position the country could find itself in.

It is now hard to see how Turkey could maintain its credibility and its prestige without going to war against the Assad coalition (Assad + Iran + Russia + PKK).

During the past days Erdogan and his aides strong statements have made the issue of Idlib increasingly important for Turkey's credibility in face of friends and foes. Yet simultaneously their absent-minded leadership allowed the situation to deteriorate until a breakpoint.

The Turkish leadership brought this disaster on them : - Due to their lack of strong reaction, the TSK forces are hyper vulnerable and should retreat. - Yet if they retreat the Turks leaders will loose all of their remaining credibility in Syria and beyond.

BREAKING: pro-#Assad forces have entered the northern sector of #Saraqeb & reports say opposition/#HTS fighters have evacuated. #Turkey's observation post remains in place, but if #TSK poses no resistance, #Erdogan's words of warning (& thus, his credibility) will crumble.

Erdogan says if regime does not retreat to the borders set in Sochi agreement within February, Turkey will be obliged to do it by itself. (i.e push regime back by force)

Settlers is too nice of a word, they call us occupiers...but I don't know how we 'occupy' Syria..Afrin is a city in Syria.

Some injured students in today #YPG #PKK terrorist attack on a school& a market place in #Afrin. YPG attack soft civilian targets in Afrin because they are "legitimate" in their views. They have said this many times, calling them "terrorist settlers".
