You can add a hardcoded return value for how many turns you want after the #DIM declarations (in picture I made 100, just choose whichever)
This will make you always have that amount of turns (won't be affected by officers)

Shifting all lines in EraTW to second person present tense

It just feels wrong. I get that the Japs don't use pronouns, but most of their shit is written in past tense.

I remember using Dolphin Emulator on jap locale used to fuck its shit up. Dunno whether it's been fixed though.

Aurora requires any locale setting that uses "." as the decimal separator, and not ",".
Otherwise, it will brick itself.

I have never had any issues with Aurora in nip locale and I play it for 4-5 days straight every few months or so.
The only games I've ever seen have an issue with nip locale is Fallen Enchantress, which would randomly replace punctuation with moonrunes, and the Minecraft mod "Millinaire", which did the same.

You can make Nethack into a garbled mess if you try to play it on jap locale.

Im having a bit of a problem in eratohotw where certain options wont show up anymore. When interacting with girls i only get the coversation, skinship, and serve tea options and nothing else no matter what i do. Even when theyre humping my leg begging to get dicked none of the fondle options or the option to push them down and initiate sex appear. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Ive already tried deleting everything and redownloading and starting a clean save but it didnt work.

Check the top of the interaction window, are the (A), (V) and the like options greyed out? They filter actions. Ive had a similar issue where all interactions were filtered out by default.

The "a wind is blowing through Gensokyo"-thing now also mentions talents, it used to just be "person's c sensitivity has increased." Now it can be "Person has become temporarily perverted." and stuff.

I'm going to try hard-resetting eng-development to translated instead of recreating it like I normally do. That means you might not have to delete local before pulling if you're using git.

I haven't finished the dialogues yet, so that's still only second person, but I'll fix that some time in the near future.

As for why, well, some people have expressed they prefer third, or are sad to see third go after the change, myself included. The game is still officially translated to second person.
The quality of the transition was also kind of lacking, since it was pretty much just scripted with some changes to verbs. The problem is that it was translated with third person in mind, and going straight to second without changing it produces mixed results. Because of this, any new translation will first go to second person and then converted to third.
I am however eternally grateful to those who converted it to second person for me.

So if you find some (you)s or ([character name])s where there shouldn't be any, tell me.

Resuming work is not really the right descriptor. It's more a restart. A complete re-translation.
Of course some stuff like names can be copied over from the last translation, maybe some UI-stuff and bug-fixes too, but it will be a long time to reach the level of translation master-old has.

The only thing I could really see breaking anything would be if the japs decide to rename some files. And that is actually easily detectable on merge and only becomes a problem if they did that with a lot of files at once.
Anyway, I always check out what changes during a merge - before the commit - so I should be on the save side.

Officially, I still consider Megaten to be dead. Yukari will eventually tire of working on it, and he'll quit long before the new translations have reached a point of replacing the old translation. EMT is pretty much one of the most popular era games here, I think it has enough of that. What it really needs is relevancy, and the translation stopped not that much time ago, meaning that it's pretty much up to date. So until the original is expanded immensely or it becomes less pain in the ass to keep consistent and up to date, retranslation of EMT - is the most irrelevant task one could come up with currently.

I don't think anyone here is against yukari to be involved in general, but having him involved in EMT translation is at best pointless at worst fucking everything up. For example, under normal circumstances him being the "assigned" translator takes some motivation away from anyone wanting to translate, because you guys are lacking in manpower and no one sensible is going to be eager to do the redundant work as a separate translator.
If switching a branch is easy, then him maintaining his own git repository shouldn't be much of a problem either if he really wants to translate the game that much, that way no one would have reasons to be concerned about anything going wrong and he will get to work over translating what he wants without pressure.

Fair enough, the images are broken. Download the game you want and download TA. Go to the emuera anchor and run it. Go to Helo and then Settings and select the things I highlighted. After that Save and Restart.

Then you run TA (preferably the r190 version). Our TA is already hooked to translating everything that emuera requests via the clipboard system thingy. All you need is go to the "windows" tab and select which translators you want. I personally use google and atlas as the mains and have systran also running just because.

Depending on traits you can usually get away with spanking/breast spanking in the first session without hate marks but they will usually build antipathy faster than pain or fear leading to no gems. You have to mix in some breast massages or cunnilingus for desire gems. What you are aiming for is level 2 pain, fear and desire, and stop before antipathy reaches level 3 this should leave you with some gems to work with.
Unless you have to, don't spend desire gems to increase obedience, you'll need them for both desire and masochism, instead use fear gems. As obedience rises you'll get less antipathy and with masochism you'll start getting desire from pain. Next steps could be forced blowjob for submission, masturbation/take picture for fear or whip for pain. That should get the ball rolling, so it's up to you where you want to go from there.
Don't worry too much about getting a hate mark or 2 as long as you are still making progress. Pain route they are pretty much unavoidable and the early submission marks will mitigate them somewhat. On that note, if you get submission 3 you will get instant obedience 2, but it will usually be followed by hate mark 3 which drops obedience back to 0. Getting hate 3 from the beginning, then sub 3 for instant 2 obedience, and working the hate marks down from there may be a viable strategy, but I haven't experimented enough with it to know.

Depends entirely on your reading comprehension, as that will determine whether or not you completely ignore the setup part and come back here wondering when things are going to be translated. If you can make it past that, the games are quite easy.

There's a learning curve to all of them, both in the "how do I do well" way and the "how do I do anything" way. Worth sticking with, though.

The big ones have cheat menus you can use if you want. TohoK is, frankly, incredibly easy unless you intentionally set it up to be difficult from the start. Megaten plays like a mashup of every Megaten battle system depending on who or what you bring, so whether it's easy to fuck up and die or not is mostly reliant on your experience with the franchise. Training people to be sluts in either is simple once you know what to shoot for.

Most of these games are all based around one original game, and share similar mechanics. Every game boils down to a system of training/items/gems/params/marks/abilities/falling states, with some minor variations in execution. Learn one game and you've got about 70% of any of the other games down.

Megaten is more than just SMT. It has Touhou, Fate, Madoka, etc in it. The gameplay itself may or may not be SMT related (never played it either), but it was just a standard RPG as far as I was concerned. Took a couple of days to get used to, but isn't exactly complex.

Thanks for the info. Just checked and it seems like only Kasen received special treatment. They standardized her set compared to one I've edited. If there are more significant changes to the JP side I may use them.

Megaten is the most complex out of the three but is pretty fun. If you aren't familiar with SMT/Persona series you can pop the megaten wiki up on a second monitor and use that to see the demon's skills and level requirements. IIRC they follow that outline pretty well but it's been a long time since I've played it. Read the era guide for it though so you don't get overwhelmed.

All special factions have these and Seija in first scenario unless you thrown her into jail or she got fall (slave, love) condition.
Faction leaders don't get ever captured unless their last territory was conquered.

Start off as a wanderer with shitty stats except for cooking and singing
All the other wanderers are bought up as I begin building rapport with Kasen, using her to train up my fighting and defense stats and not have her hate me for it
Spend what little money I have on acquiring some of the same skills as Kasen to go along with this Teacher/Student relationship I've built up
Factions start warring against each other, meanwhile I'm just enjoying a quiet life with Kasen
And then Kasen is offered a place at Miko's faction

They are not broken per se, what you are seeing is just an effect of using the UPDATE option. That function is currently not really supported(because it breaks things like this).
Fixing it should not be too hard but the devs(ours not the japs) need to know people are interested in a working UPDATE function.

Where did you come to that conclusion? If the player used 'Hunt for girls' there will be 128 characters(player is chara 0 + 127 others).
And that is just what is defined in the character .csv files. Since the very last one of them(127) is nothing more than a template the random girl is based on, it should be possible to add a character with that template multiple times.
The only read issue I would see is if the game used a hardcoded number when iterating through characters but that uses CHARANUM which referes to the number of actually created characters, not the number of characters defined in the .csv
The game does treat the random girl somewhat differently(it is excluded from some loops) but that should be fixable by replacing the -1 in thoose cases with the number of random girls created.

If anyone figures it out i'd be more than happy to make new images just for this purpose.

On the technical side: creating multiple passerbies wasn't too hard but the game expects characternumbers to equal csvcharacternumbers. If that isn't the case, crashing happens. However, this should be easily fixable by ceating wrapper functions for the native CSV functions that cause the crashing(or adjusting the arguments with wrappers it's less likely something gets overlooked).

You have to buy the cucumber seeds too. Depending on where you live, the option for "kitchen garden" should appear when exploring around and you can plant them there. However, I think some places don't have gardens, and some can have more of them. I know for a fact that the Hakurei Shrine and the Myouren Temple have space for it in their backyards.

I don't think the request gives you enough time to cultivate them from scratch, though. It takes a while. Remember to water them every day!

Anyone have any tips for eramegaten for demon fusion to get traits they want? I found it's possible to get a virgin of any kind of female demon if you use the right components.

Oddly enough some demons that should have tails by default don't seem to have them for body parts and I'm unsure if it's possible to add them via fusion or otherwise or not.

I don't believe it is possible to change the body parts of a given demon outside of pills.
Also it is not uncommon for traits/skills and such that the compendium lists for a demon to not actually show up when summoned.

I think when the debt is paid in full by the event it stops, but according to the code it drops their fav/dep/sub and you can lose relationship talents from it. You can launch the game through the Debug.bat I think it's called? It'll launch the game in debug mode which will give access to a few extra menus. Add mana and change your own characters traits mostly.

You'll need to look at the last thread or the one before, someone did it by modify one file like GENERAL.csv or something, I let you check by yourself.

The big thing however is that the game just isn't designed around male characters really. Most of the random events cannot be done by a male or even trap character, while NPC sex scenes rarely involve them using a penis no matter how aroused and in love with you. Some of the more recent additions to the game have improved this, but on the development side of things seems primarily focused on a male player with female officers.

The game printing a giant wall of text about clothing in debug-mode is something they added, it'll be removed once a bug is fixed (hopefully tomorrow).

Currently it's just game/eng-development which is updated. If you're downloading via zip, remember to not drag and drop, but unzip in a new place and transfer the saves.
If you're using git, you've got to delete local repository and pull.
Eng-release will be updated soon, there's just one bug - Iku's and Shou's unique tops don't display properly, they just go "0", not even "" as in "nothing there". Once that bug is fixed I'll update eng-release, which will replace master, meaning no more "which branch?"

I've downloaded the new eng-dev branch, and now every person is being described as guy. Everything else still checks out for them being girls (virginity, sex actions, etc.), but in every single desrciption it's always 'his' or 'he'.

The reason was that I remade the HE_SHE-functions but put it statically at 0 when checking the gender, meaning it just checked the player's gender.

If you found a reliable way to replicate it, that would help tremendously, as I'm not quite sure just what goes wrong. I think you can just upload saves here.
In essence, the game expects her to be walking in on you being with someone else, or something. I'm guessing you have the "ufufu" flag set because you were just molesting her, but her flag got unset at some point. So the game tries to find whoever the other person is, by checking who else has the "ufufu" flag in the same room as you. It doesn't find anyone and thus it tries to print the name of character "-1".
I could help you faster if it was on the discord, but it's by no means a requirement.

so being the exceptionally lazy person I am, I decided to make a sort of half-assed cheat mod for eramegaten
to use it, change the file to .ERB and then place it in the ERB\調教関連\COM folder where it will overwrite the file that is already there (which is the command for lube while training).

so what does it do? When you use lube it instantly maxes out all stats responsible for positive orb gain (not including pain) as well as blocking antipathy/rejection seals for the massive change the action causes as well as greatly increasing a number of experiences like blowjob and such (though it lacks a number of more important one as I suck at code diving).

tl,dr: it removes a lot of the more boring grinding and gives you a one and done for making slaves sellable and makes it so you only need to do a little work to meet fall conditions.
It shouldn't cause any issues but let me know if it somehow doesn't work.

If you use debug, one of the options lets you pull up a full list of characters by ID number. Another option lets you instantly obtain any character if you know their ID number.

You read about their info, I think its the third page of their stats, and it will tell you what their source material is. There's a lot from the megaten tabletop game materials and if there's someone you just plain can't place they're probably from that.

Also, some of them can't be gotten and will crash the game. Like Vergil.

The length before it splits depends on the width of the window. Just use DRAWLINE and count how many dashes there are. In tohok it's 112, TW 148.

How much Patchouli reads depends on favorability. Intervals are 100, 500, 1000, 3000.
It's a dating sim, just, spend time with her, give her gifts, talk etc. It gets easier once you can go on dates since detour + hold hands is pretty good.

They're talking about the public era account used to access the git. If you had changed the password for it, change it back to the initial password to let everyone else use it again.

I have just generated a alt public account and the OP has already been updated with it along with the git repo. Yes the password is long and random but C&P still exists.

Yeah I was about to point this out. I wanted TW and erak updates and instead I got SQN. I don't even play SQN.

Neither one of the logins work - eraeraera just fails and the eraP one logs in but gitgud gives me a 422 error.

Is there a good guide for how to get started playing eraTW? Right now I can talk to people, do "skinship" (except the scarlet devil mansion girls for some reason), and have no idea how to earn money or buy anything or replenish my 100 TSP once it's used up.

Favorability gains are slow as shit in the beginning and increase exponentially the closer you get to someone, just keep being sociable with people.
To get money, sell sake from your sake bug at the human village or find someone with a job and help them with it; Chiyuri and Yumemi at Hakurei Shrine are real good for this.
Your time stop juice is restored when you go to bed and using your time stop powers will increase your maximum up to a certain point, I forget whether it's 4000 or 4500.

There's a lot of broken things I have to fix before I can push my work, which is why progress is piling up into this one update instead of being a steady stream of git commits.

Well both having their request denied doesn't help matters. I'l create a third one so user's can at least view the repo and probably post in the issue tracker (if anyone cares).
