The relative success of resistance cells encouraged others to set up their own fictional resistance. The Revolutionaties of the Land of Deir Ezzor is one those. Despite being non-existent they still serve a cause as interviewing them shows.

KNC decided to reopen its political offices in NE-Syria in response to the Kurdish unity initiative by PYD. It's not unlikely the meeting of the former with Russian MoFA Deputy Bogdanov in Erbil functioned as an incentive to go ahead with reconciliation.

The two major rival factions among Syrian Kurdish parties have continued meetings since early November to discuss the need for unity after Turkey’s attack on northern Syria.

Despite Turkey's creation of several new points in and around Saraqeb and the retaliation for its soldiers that were hit, I fail to see something else than it just being additional bumpers in Russia's pinball game Idlib is.

The reasoning behind this could be that US/SDF counter terrorism ops are draining expertise of IS cells to manufacture ied's & vehicle bombs, forcing them to seek other ways to wreck havoc. In areas with a high density of IS cells it is impossible to bring this expertise to zero.

There is a large gap between what Rojava Information Center is implying with its figures of sleeper cell attacks and the actual situation on the ground in E-Deir Ezzor. A more rigid and detailed analysis of the data would give a far better insight of it. rojavainformationcenter.com/2020/01/good-w

Thread : For many months, unidentified cells have transformed the eastern countryside into a hotbed of real terrorism. Murders are carried out on daily basis against civilians, some of whom were killed just because they were working with the #SDF, even in civilian fields.

Kurdish-led authorities in northeast Syria plan local tribunal for allegedly ISIS Fighters

I notice there is some misenterpretation of the ruling of the court. This is not a symbolic ruling to absolve PKK of being a terrorist organisation. It is rather a semantic and legal discussion showing restrictions in Belgian terrorism law.

The protest can be called purely 'technocratic', only focusing on the current economic situation and avoiding to blame someone for it. Moreover protests in other regions than Suwayda would be immediately quelled.
