The 3000-year-old Great Synagogue of Aleppo is since 3 years back undergoing massive restoration by the Sephardic Heritage Museum in cooperation with the Chief Rabbi of Syria. It contains a huge cemetery of Syrian Jews through history, and over 200 graves have been recovered now.

The archaeological site of Khan Al-Jalabi in Old Aleppo is currently undergoing restoration. This caravanserai was built in the year of 1301. These photos were taken on wednesday.

Correction: from February 4th.

Raqqah City is offering free rehabilitation of homes in Al-Baddo Quarter of Al-Nahda neighbourhood, after having received funding from a European organisation. Residents can apply from February 3 to February 13 to have their homes rehabilitated.

The UNDP is currently funding the rehabilitation of a hospital in Harasta, eastern Ghouta.

The third suburb is the Bishlama suburb. It consists of 1000 apartments, and there has been no announcement of the expected completion period for the project yet.

The second suburb is the Satmarkho suburb. It consists of 1800 apartments, and is expected to be completed within 4 years.

The first suburb where work will begin is the labour housing suburb of Mushayrif Al-Sammouk. It consists of 600 apartments, and it is expected to be completed in 3-4 years.

The General Housing Cooperation will begin infrastructure work for three new residential suburbs in Latakia countryside during the first quarter of this year. The three new suburbs are Mushayrif Al-Sammouk, Satmarkho and Bishlama.

758 cars crossed the Syrian Bukamal border crossing to Iraq over the past two months (12/12/2019 - 1/30/2020). This was revealed by the Secretary of Customs for Bukamal crossing, Assem Iskandar. The total amount of citrus exported to Iraq during this period is about 21 000 tons.

Earlier this week, Deir Ezzor City Council signed a contract worth 50 million SYP for Harabish neighbourhood. Work has begun. The previous contract for a water sanitation project at a cost of 70 million SYP at the Bosraya street to the Mwazafeen neighbourhood has been completed.

Russia has granted Syria $20 million from its federal budget to support the implementation of the World Food Programme in Syria.

Progress as of 30/1/2020. Work has begun on the seventh floor in one lf the buildings, while work continues on the sixth floor on the other buildings.
