Sending warships in order to solve a dispute between two partners in the neighborhood as a first step is not very European. Unless you want Europe to return to the pre-WWI world. How about organizing talks instead?

Turkey is denying the legitimacy of the republic of Cyprus, a member state of EU, and is deliberately violating its sovereignty on its maritime ressources. No negotiation would be possible without strong European solidarity with the weaker side.

Talking in a such way with limtd historical knowledge and much bias about the “legitimacy” of the suigeneris Rep of Cyprus created with a limited sovereignty in 1960 and usurped in 63 by Greek Cypriots and injustly taken in the EU, does not fit with the qualities of an ambassador

It doesn’t fit the qualities of an ambassador but it fits most of the countries in the world, incl. the UN, which recognize the Republic of Cyprus.

Even under the UN it’s an open issue, UNFICYP is still there, non kept promises by the EU about the Annan referenda are known and TR, against all odds, will continue to protect rights of the TR Cypriots. Bullying Turks, as was the case in the 1920’s, won’t succeed.
