Attending SSIS means the freedom to express myself, learn academically and grow as an individual. The welcoming atmosphere accommodates students who come from multilingual backgrounds and ensures diversity in the school environment to enhance cultural awareness. Attending an international school means broadening my perspectives and constantly learning and engaging in the responsibilities of a world citizen.

We’ve learned the language we speak is not as important as how we choose to learn and utilize different languages to take part in an emerging world community and build values as people of integrity.

Important Notice – Coronavirus Outbreak

Over the Chinese New Year Holiday, the SSIS campus is closed to all students, parents and guests. We have a cleaning schedule in place to prepare for the start of Semester 2, which will now commence on Monday, February 17.

Should this date change and the school need to close for a further period of time, we will announce this on our website, by email and WeChat.

SSIS will continue to receive regular updates from the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) and the Ministry of Education. For the time being, all educational, sports, performing arts, admission tours, activity clubs, and  events will be canceled, or postponed.

We have been asked that any staff, parents or students who have travelled to Hubei province since January 1st complete this survey in order to assist control of the spread of the coronavirus. We will forward all responses received directly to the CDC and MOE.
