It’s been more than a day since 19-year-old Cesar Cortes was shot and killed inside a Bellaire High School classroom.
Starting Thursday morning, students return to the school after Houston ISD canceled classes Wednesday in the wake of the deadly shooting, which happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Cortes, an aspiring soldier and graduating senior, was already enlisted in the U.S. Army when he was killed.
