Some interesting details: * Enrolment rate in schools inside the camp remains low [in part due to nature of the population held there] * Significant improvement in the quality of drinking water. * Health services in the foreigners' annex available only until 5 PM.https://twitter.com/OCHA_Syria/status/1218105072397230080…

Interestingly, the actor claims that the price of a bundle of bread in opposition areas is SYP 1,000 when in reality it's SYP 400. Seems like the regime wants those living under its control to believe that economic situation under the rebels is worse than in regime areas.

Terrible acting on Syrian regime TV (al-Ikhbariya). The man claims to have entered regime areas from Idlib through one of the "safe passages" advertised by the regime & Russia, but he has been living in regime areas at least since 2018. No indication of any civilians crossing.pic.twitter.com/e7twiF1asI

I am looking for a host in France for a young Syrian refugee currently living in Turkey. This would entail hosting him in your home for a few months. He survived war & displacement but is still determined to restart his life & go back to university.

All sides of the Syrian civil war have recruited children. Ahmed's town, Hayan, was bombed by the Assad regime on multiple occasions, destroying large sections of it. His uncle died fighting the Assad regime. Several of his relatives are detained in the prisons of the Assad regime & their fate is unknown.

Around 2018, Ahmed joined Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the jihadist faction that became dominant in the region. His friends describe him as precocious and very focused on improving his skills as a fighter. He attended multiple training camps.

Ahmed escaped from home and joined a local faction in Hayan, the Aleppo countryside, along with a friend. He was initially kept far from the front-lines, providing logistical support. Around the age of 14 he began participating in battles.
