    The 6th Division's 45th Special Forces Regiment has been in and out of Hama fighting, and the 85th Brigade was active on the Kernaz front back in May and June. This is the first time in some months that they've suffered a confirmed casualty from their ranks.

    News reports about the SAA 6th Division deploying onto the Ma'arat al-Numaan front are true: the division has suffered its first casualty in some time. Lt. Ali Rasim Yusuf of the 6th Div was buried in Tir Jamlah, today after he was killed at Abu Dafnah yesterday.

    New Harakat Muhajirin Ahl-Sunnat Iran video about the Kabani front in is really quite interesting- although OPSEC is seemingly tightly still maintained, we get more of an idea how fighters there were able to withstand months of regime assaults. 1/

    I'm not certain if this piece is new or not, but I haven't seen it before. Regardless, the camera shows how deep the fortifications of Kabbani have been built - and emphasizes how incredibly difficult it will be for the government to root them out, if they even can.

    The documentary also shows preparations for battle, coordination between defensive positions, and combat footage from the past year's fighting in Kabbani. All of this - preparation, coordination, medical care, and even prayer and living - are done underground.

    The raid was bloody for the opposition. Three fighters from Jarjanaz, including two Suquor al-Sham fighters, were killed. A commander from Suquor al-Sham was also KIA.

    19 Jan 20: today, at least four loyalists were slain in , likely at Abu Dafnah in the raid. They are as follows: a 1st Lt. from Tir Jamlah, , a Lt. from Jableh, a soldier from Qardaha, and another 1st Lt. from an unknown hometown.

    The fuel crisis in Syrian government-held areas is escalating again. The situation is so severe that in Baniyas, which itself has a refinery nearby, only two pumping stations are getting fuel tomorrow - with the rest presumably receiving nothing.

    I'm reasonably certain that the Syrian government is clamping down on social media activity again. There aren't a lot of martyrs being reported by hometown/regional pages. Given the continued collapse of the SYP and the return of the gas crisis, not entirely surprising.

    SNA-held al-Rai, has seen two assassinations in two days. On the 17th, a Liwa al-Shamal fighter was gunned down. Today, a fighter with Jaish al-Sharqiyah suffered the same fate. ALF also killed a Furqat al-Hamza fighter near al-Balad town in Afrin in an ambush today.

    18 Jan 20: on the 17th, a NDF fighter was shot dead by gunmen on the road outside of Sabikhan. Another loyalist was a victim of the ATGM strike at Tell Khatirah, - from Qardaha. A Liwa al-Quds fighter was slain in DeZ sometime last week too.
