The Berlin Conference was announced in a knee-jerk fashion shortly after the Turko-Russian Ceasefire Summit was held; but not before the ceasefire agreement was signed, which didn't end up happening. We're seeing the fallout from reactive diplomacy & appeasement now in Tripoli.

Rather interesting that #Pompeo spoke with Cavusoglu regarding a monitoring mechanism. After the #Turkey-#Russia "ceasefire summit" in #Moscow, #Ankara had planned to contribute to monitoring the ceasefire by deploying troops of its own.

Good on Tunis, & unfortunate way of dealing w/ one of very few players that strive to tackle #Libya w/ neutrality. This is shameful because if #Haftar's offensive continues - & it's likely it will - one of the first countries affected by waves of displacement would be #Tunisia.
