I've just recently discovered Bjork's music after seeing and hearing her stunning performance in Dancer in the Dark and its soundtrack, and have since listened to all her solo discs, and seem to now on a regular basis. This one is my favorite. Debut and Post are both wonderful discs, but on this disc she has found the perfect balance between electronic and acoustic backdrops (combining ambient beats with gorgeous string-based melodies) and created her most truly focused recording. The entire album is a supremely melodic showcase of her songwriting, experimentation and incomparable voice. The disc minus "Pluto" - which I find rather grating - is five star quality (explaining the four stars - 4 3/4 would be more accurate). The highlights for me are "Joga", "Unravel", "Bachelorette" and "5 Years" which are absolutely beautiful - lyrically and musically. The disc is basically an orchestral feast for the ears. I look forward to her upcoming Vespertine disc, which hopefully is a continuation of the brilliance she displays here.
