no german in the world speaks like that. way to slow and the pronounciation is too precise :D but i guess for the americans it works.

As a native german speaking person, I can tell you, that they speak very very badly. BTW it's the same with the spanish scenes

The way they speak german in Breaking Bad is like Finnish people would speak german :D

'did a lot of research on what they looked like'......yeah...she googled german police
Why didn't they use german Actors ? :D The accent sounds like a scandinavian tries to speak german. Anyway, great scene!

You know how costly it would be to get actually german actors?
Actually that is pretty much what a test lab for food looks like in Germany :) /watch?v=iDJs3Uobcn0
The whole German scene is pretty authentic for us non-German audiences. Yeah sure most characters have a light American accent, but the German language spoken here is still really good by American standards. Most of the time, they don't even bother finding actors who speak German, and we end up with some really atrocious accents.
So they got the color scheme of the police badges right (white on red), but not the motive (they use an eagle instead of a horse, which would be correct for Lower Saxony police, Hannover being the capital of that state). How on earth did that happen? Did they only get low-resolution pictures of police officers?
Michelle MacLaren is amazing
that secretary in the beginning though. we need more of her. lots of her.
"franch"
so they decided to not let him talk? that's strange somehow.
Not at all? There are plenty of German people and most likely actors in the US who would be willing to do the job. It would even be easier than looking for Americans who speak German.
