Creating a frontend-only solution by passing references to RxJS-powered feed services for this could cause issues with existing feed mechanisms*. I'm cherry-picking !418 (closed) and going to implement a /feed/neighbor endpoint to be used by media modals.

(*) I did a PoC for a component-level Feed Service injection + passing to the modal, but the site started to crash randomly with a cryptic RxJS message.
