Armaf/Al Haramain/ Ard Al Zaafaran/Rasasi/Lataffa all do good clones of something.

My problem with the Middle Eastern frags is that the word Oud is added to so many of the titles and there’s minimum notes breakdown available so its pretty much like everything is a blind buy. Armaf is solid at reasonable price with Ard Al Zaafaran probably being the cheapest.

I’ll make a few recommendations (minus Armaf, Rasasi, Al Haramain there’s plenty online reviews etc) -

(My favourite) Ard Al Zaafaran - Risalat Al Mudah Smells like hybrid of BdC x Sauvage and its a monster projector it will last all day. I haven’t even bought BdC or Sauvage for the last 3+ years because of it. Trust me when I say the projection is on par if not better than Sauvage itself.

Ard Al Zaafran - Midnight Oud - Clone of Interlude. I don’t like interlude anyway but this is just nuclear. A friend has this and loves it. Its dark and floral. I just don’t like insencey frags in general they remind of an abandon church. (100ml EDP 13.09)

Ard Al Zaafran Oud 24 - Clone of TF Black Orchid. There is similarities, TF is obviously much richer and better quality. Projection is okay and the longevity will last a while. Its not a skanky Oud either. (Cost 10.00)

Lataffa - Ragbha - Very sweet/sugary some say its a clone of 24 Scentstory (Ragbha was released before) its a beautiful winter frag the projection is good but the longevity is amazing. It will last some time if sprayed on clothes. (11.00)

Khalis - Oud Hindi - smells very close to Dior Homme Intense with a slight twist, it’s not the greatest projector but it’ll last you a couple hours. The longevity is bang on though. (Cost 20)

Khalis - I Am Legend (Black Edition) . Creed SMW clone, alcohol blast for the first 1 minute of spraying but then it begins to settle down and it smells fantastic. It just bumps up in projection when you least expect it. Fantastic juice (cost 17.00).

Lataffa - Al Dur Maknoon Silver - another Creed Aventus clone. I personally just don’t like a certain note in this on the dry down. It lasts and projects very well. I know someone who loves this and it’s their signature scent. The longevity and projection is there. (100ml EDP costs 11.50)

These are just a few, I know plenty more. One thing is for certain though the price and performance of these frags from the Middle Eastern cloning houses are very good. Its a shame that getting a sample of them is virtually impossible as I said above ^ with having “Oud” in most of the names and hardly no notes or minimal notes which are exactly the same as some of the other bottles they manufacture it’s quite annoying.
