Circumstances

On March 26, 2018, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal traffic accident off Highway 1, north of Westport, California. The bodies of a Washington couple and three of their six children were found in a vehicle that had crashed over a cliff and landed along the surf line. Three of the couple’s children are currently unaccounted for and their whereabouts remain unknown. The missing children could currently be traveling together and may have last been seen with their family members traveling in a brown 2003 Yukon XL SUV with tinted windows, which is the same vehicle that crashed.

Remarks

The FBI, Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, and California Highway Patrol are asking for assistance from anyone who has any knowledge of
the whereabouts of these children, including sightings prior to the traffic accident. The family may have traveled to, or visited, the following locations or campgrounds prior to the accident. These children and their relatives may have traveled to the Ten Mile Beach in Westport, California, near Fort Bragg, California. They may have traveled to Russian Gulch south of Fort Bragg, California or MacKerricher State Park in Mendocino County, California. These children and relatives may have traveled to Surfwood Campground in Mendocino County, California, Pinewood Campground in Mendocino County, California or Cleone Campground in Mendocino County, California.

Appeal

This is an extremely tragic case. Two adults and several children have been killed. Hannah Jean Hart, Devonte Jordan Hart, and Sierra Maiju Hart are missing. It seems that some of the relatives have survived. For police believe that Hannah, Devonte, and Sierra may travel with them. Apparently this family traveled a lot. It is hard to know what to make of this case and the circumstances of this triple disappearance. Family members may be taking take three Hannah, Devonte, and Sierra to some campground? In that case, why aren’t those family members listed as missing themselves? Information is desperately needed!
