Taufiq Rahim

Senior Fellow, International Security Program

Taufiq Rahim is a senior fellow in the International Security program at New America. Based between Dubai and New York, Rahim leads Globesight, a global development firm working collaboratively with innovative partners to craft solutions to the world’s most pressing social issues, particularly in East Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. Through Globesight, Rahim has led high-level strategy projects with many—if not most—of the leading global multilateral and philanthropic organizations, working in the Gulf. He is also a co-founder of YVRDXB, which connects the economic hubs of Vancouver and Dubai. Rahim has served as a fellow at the Dubai School of Government,  as an expert advisor to the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and sat on the steering group for the Project on Cultural Dialogue & International Security at Chatham House. Rahim previously worked with McKinsey & Company, the Aga Khan Foundation, and the United Nations. He has been regularly published or cited in online and offline media, including ReutersFinancial TimesCNNBloombergNew York Times, among others. Rahim received a master’s in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and his A.B. from Princeton University.
