  1. An explosion (possibly airstrike) destroyed al-Maasara prison near Azaz. It is a prison run by the Levant front in which captured ISIS members are kept.

  2. Regime and Russia resumed their airstrikes on Maarat al Numan, which suggests the failure of the negotiations.

  3. The countries that back the parties to conflict in Libya will avoid direct confrontation and support local forces with the aim of controlling their decision. Then they will focus on power and resources sharing.

  4. Claims circulating that the Turkish big convoy of 70 vehicles that reached Icarda will patrol the M5 along with Russian forces. Rebels will withdraw from the highway.

  5. Reports of Russia and Assad regime sending fighters to Haftar and Turkey and opposition sending forces to GNA. Soon SDF will go to fight ISIS there and the Libyan war will become purely by Syrians.

  6. Registration center in Salamiyeh for loyalists who want to join Libya's Haftar forces.

  7. Surely Assad regime lost much of its political, military and economic independence to Russia and Iran. But what concerns us more as Syrians is that the regime still has all the means and impunity to kill, detain, torture and plunder us just as it was in 2011.

  8. Regime forces make new advances, capturing Babulin and its surroundings. They are closing in on the Turkish observation point in Maar Hatat.

  9. If the reports about SNA going to Libya are correct, then it is just a smart move to find a way into Idlib by getting around the HTS obstruction of that 1000 fighters convoy.

  10. If Turkey paid that much regime fighters would defect to TFSA and go to Libya

  11. It is interesting to see a VBIED infiltrate Jarjanaz. Regime vehicles must be busy transporting looted home furnishings.

  12. Rebel ATGM strike at regime technical on Al-Teh front southeast of Maarat al Numan.

  13. Some wonder why SNA send reinforcements to Idlib instead of launching attacks from Azaz or Elbab. Such a move would be faced by regime and Russia expanding their bombardment all over SNA held areas, bringing misery, death and displacing to millions of people.

  14. SNA source claims HTS denied access to 1000 SNA fighters into Idlib.

  15. Talmenes, Ghadfeh and Barseh are under rebel control

  16. I do not expect any serious fight to defend the M5. There could be some face saving counter offensive though.

  17. SNA issues statements stressing it will send forces to defend southern Idlib. Expect next statements to be about how HTS got in the way.

  18. Back when I was at school there was a stupid boy who loved to play cards and gamble. He always lost because his teammate secretly cooperated with the opposing team and shared the gains with them.

  19. Under current conditions, Syrian territorial integrity necessitate Assad regime retaking control of all Syria. Cosmetic changes to the regime by adding some agents of regional and western countries mean nothing.

  20. The only hope of the revolution after Russia's intervention was dividing the country to get an autonomous region. But Turkey has insisted on the territorial integrity of Syrian territory to foil the YPG project, thus enabling regime to retake all of the country sooner or later.

On an individual level I understand every rebel that is overwhelmed in fear by the insane 24/7 bombardement while he got just an AKM with a few mags and zero effective means to fight back. This knowing his family next town is bombarded this minute and you are not there to help.

  23. Giving the same space to all news regardless of their significance is misleading. e.g. Some write many tweets about the routine skirmishes that take place on frontlines in Aleppo, Kabbani, Ghab... and one or two tweets about the fall of a dozen towns in eastern Maarat al Numan.

  24. It is a vicious circle where Turkey blames HTS for refusing to implement Russian/Turkish agreement about DMZ and reopening of M5 & M4. HTS blames SNA for not fighting regime in northern Aleppo. SNA blames HTS for its inability to defend Idlib.

  25. Rebel forces seem to have no confidence in their ability to defend Maarrat and other towns along M5. They are putting facing-saving resistance with minimal losses.

  26. If only 5% of resources was allocated to activating sleeper cells in regime held areas! That would bring more value than the 95% allocated to domesticated "armies" and factions.

  27. Russia and regime continue their bombardment of southern Idlib with the aim of displacing the entire population. As civilians flee the area, it becomes easier to monitor and target the positions and movements of rebel forces.

  28. Written at the back of a truck moving displaced people from southern Idlib: "Oh life! your burden has increased and not all people are (as patient as prophet) Job".

  29. In addition, people have to pay $800 every two year for passport renewal and $300 per year as expatriation tax. So you have to pay for the luxury of living outside the Assad farm.

  30. Regime and Russia have escalated their airstrikes and shelling in southern Idlib to levels that usually precede ground offensives.

Three children with their volunteer mother in the Civil Defense were killed today by the Assad regime with an artillery shell that targeted their house in the village of

  32. The first anniversary of the unfortunate visit of Sudan's Basheer

  33. Syrian Arab Republic

  34. Demonstrations in Regime and SDF areas that raise only anti-Iran slogans are NOT spontaneous or a product of coincidence. Assad regime is the enemy number 1 and the source of all evil in Syria. ِAnd what applies to Iran does also apply to Russia.

  35. SDF's brutal military training

  36. It does not feel good when you find that the person who once held the highest position in the Syrian opposition is among the founders of a new Turkish party. The same when the head of the "interim government" sits near a Turkish flag and acts like a high commissioner.

  37. Video of Qaddafi loading Arab presidents onto a military truck. A car accident would have spared our countries a lot of suffering.
