I have been working at Shriners Hospitals For Children full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

The mission of caring for children with orthopedic issues and burns, regardless of the families ability to pay is why so many staff start at Shriners and stay forever.

      Cons

The pay is not as competitive as it could be in terms of our market.

        Pros

Our organization does wonderful things for kids regardless of the families ability to pay. It's very satisfying to be part of this team.

        Cons

Not many know of our existence. Working hard to get the word out that Shriners Hospitals for Children is the best kept secret in the chicago land area.

I have been working at Shriners Hospitals For Children full-time for more than a year

          Pros

The mission of this organization can't be beat. Children's lives are changed every day, and it's wonderful to be a part of that. And treating kids regardless of their ability to pay is amazing!

          Cons

As with any non-profit, challenges of trying to accomplish a lot with a small staff can be stressful, but everyone really cares, which is great.

I have been working at Shriners Hospitals For Children full-time

            Pros

Shriners Hospital is a charitable foundation providing care for children with orthopedic disabilities regardless of ability to pay for services.

            Cons

The compensation packages for new employees do not include the generous paid time off, pension benefits, and salary that seasoned employees have retained.
