A short dialogue about a couple who broke up a long time ago, only to meet again. The dialogue is simple but there are some key words we can learn from it that are very useful to beginners. Intermediate readers might also find a few of the characters useful and they may be unknown to beginners so remember that you can mouseover any Chinese character to find the meaning and the pinyin.

The beauty of Chinese is being able to pack a lot of meaning into a short amount of text!Dialogue between a former couple
Thanks for reading
I liked this. I would like some more beginner level entries, please.
Hey Kathy, there is a beginner’s section here. It is smaller than the main page but more material is being added.
Thanks for your comment:)
I’m very grateful to these authors that take the time to think about us beginners because it’s very easy to not bother due to the simplicity of the level. We all have to start somewhere before we get to intermediate or advance. Some of us are learning by ourselves accessing a plethora of diverse resources. I recently purchased the 300 word level Chinese Breeze Graded Reader books and realised that I’m not quite at the level to read it. If it had pinyin in it then I could read it and search the characters I don’t know and learn them. However, I have to go back to beginner level reading a little more and take the HSK test before I can move on to properly reading 300 words. However, in this text, I learnt some new words and as short as it is I still enjoyed it. I will also be accessing the beginner section as informed above in comment section. Thank you very much to the author of this piece.
Thanks!
