The first project signed with the Mercury LLC in Block 7 is an oil field located in northern Syria that extends over an area of 9,531 km2. As for Velada LLC, a project was signed with them in block 23 - a gas field north of Damascus that extends over an area of 2159 km2.

A Sudanese company has been established in Syria with a declared capital of 5 million SYP, after the approval of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection. The company has the right to import and export all food, be it vegetables, fruits, dairy, cheese or meat.

The West won’t be the ones to rebuild Syria - even if there was to be a reconciliation. A mere look at Iraq, and the state of Mosul, shows that the US is not serious about reconstruction efforts and only speaks of it as a bargaining chips (that never truly gets implemented). 2/7

Good news is that a significant amount of cement production has returned and is returning, with the rehabilitation of more cement facilities, launch of new cement conpanies, and the industry sector recovering at large.

The first hall of Tishreen cotton gin facility was launched w/ a production power of 200 tons/day. The facility separates the cotton threads from the seeds. This forms 30% cotton & 60% of raw material for oil companies. The second hall of the facility has also been rehabilitated.

Earlier this year, Russia and Syria signed an agreement to lease the port of Tartous to Russia for a period of 49 years, in exchange of investing $500 million to expand the port, & perhaps other investments. Russian company Stroytransgaz will operate, manage and expand the port.
