    1 million killed Syrians 9 million displaces 100s of thousands between missing, kidnapped annd or incarecerated by the Assad regime. Millions without basic needs in refugee camps.. I haven’t seen Assad or his supporters show a shred of sympathy…not a single loaf of bread.

    I’m not concern-trolling. Yes, I do think both Russia-gate, and to a slightly lesser extent the panic over social media have been a huge distraction for what I would still broadly term “my side”—a means of externalizing a slew of defeats/not reckoning with our failures. 3/4

    Not surprised a fascist like Nick Griffin jumps on this to defend Asad. And libertarians can be cranky, especially on foreign policy, finding common cause with anyone against U.S. imperialism, but it is still a bit surprising it goes as far as the deputy research director at IEA.

    Even if the Duma denialists could prove their case, it would leave hundreds and hundreds of other chemical attacks that Asad is responsible for. And obviously it is this documented pattern that means there really is no mystery about Duma.
