Oh right, Scarlet Witch singlehandedly almost tore him limb from limb a few scenes earlier. She's only stopped when a dang spaceship fires on her, and even that doesn't put her out of commission. She pops up a whole minute later, apparently as strong as ever, to offer redundant assistance to Captain Marvel. Or to pose for a hero shot for merchandising purposes.
Walt Disney StudiosYou can almost hear the photographer saying, "OK, now everybody smile and say 'Sequel!'"
So why doesn't she get right back to Thanos-killing, which is far and away the #1 priority here? She could presumably mind-rip his gauntlet off as easily as she mind-ripped apart his Mjolnir-resistant armor and mind-snapped his vibranium-destroying blade. Maybe she ended up clear on the other side of the battlefield somehow? Nope, she's in prime mourning distance.
Walt Disney StudiosYou know the rules: Only standalone movie protagonists are allowed to do anything meaningful.
After they all pause for their cover shot, Wasp, Shuri, and Iron Pepper attack Thanos. But Scarlet Witch vanishes to ... do what, exactly, beyond be conveniently unavailable a little later?
Walt Disney StudiosThough in fairness, if every character got another eight seconds of screen time, it would've put another hour on that movie.

I love how the audience is supposed to feel the 'weight' of Pa Kent's absolutely inane and idiotic sacrifice in that film, and then afterward completely ignore the consequences of 9/11 X 100 later in the film, which appears to be cleaned up in no time at all, and people are making quippy jokes about welcoming Clark to 'the planet' and female (professional) Army officers are commenting on Superman's 'hotness'.
If Snyder were a cinematographer, VFX artist and set designer he'd be one of my favorite people working in the business today, but the man cannot put together a script even approaching a cogent tone, and you can tell through his direction that he seems to be one of those people that go with the first draft of whatever they write because his work is so lofty and portentous that it must be genius.

I have said it before, and I will say it again - the worst thing about Man of Steel was what Snyder did to Pa Kent.
Superman, on his face, is a relatively boring character--he's got a plethora of great powers and a rather convoluted weakness. Yet, despite being a walking god, his destructive power is constrained by the nostalgic view of Midwest morality installed by his adoptive father.
Everything bad about Man of Steel follows from the failure of Costner-Kent to teach Clark how to be a morally good human--it's why we spend most of the movie following a Clark who is detached from his humanity, just kind of wandering the globe.
But where this lack of parental guidance is most clear is in the oft-derided scene where Superman breaks Zod's neck. As a concept, I do not take issue with Superman's killing Zod--Superman of the comics has killed before, often when a threat is too powerful to allow to live. It's times where Superman has to choose between killing (an option he has due to his powerful Kryptonian heritage) and not-killing (the morality instilled by his adoptive father) where you can really let the character shine.
Here, however, we never had the strict code of not killing installed on Superman. Instead, Pa Kent passed down a legacy of complete indifference, completely nullifying the internal conflict which would have made killing Zod meaningful.

I have HUGE problem with that "girl gang" scene, please hear me out.
I'll accept that most of the women wanted to help Captain Marvel get the Gauntlet to the van where the quantum tunnel is, but why did HOPE PYM show up?!? She was supposed to be fixing the quantum tunnel! So she left Scott Lang to fix it on his own, so she could add what? A brief annoyance to Thanos (which she wasn't) or maybe shrink Captain Marvel down so you can sneak her and the gauntlet across the battlefield? But instead she poses and then uses her lasers to kill a few low-level bad guys which Captain Marvel literally flies through with no resistance heading towards? A useless tunnel because the person fixing it is behind her! Granted Thanos then blows up the van so staying there probably would've got her killed but why fight towards a useless van?
TL:DR Every other female character doesn't bother me at all, just the fact Hope had a job to do that was way more important than her skills on the battlefield
