As our President Erdogan underlined, our agreement with the UN-backed Libyan government is in line with the international law. We will not accept any fait accompli against our legitimate rights.

With our agreement with Libya, we make it clear that international actors cannot conduct search and drilling activities in this region without our permission. South Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, and Israel cannot establish natural gas transport lines in this region.

We had already been working on an agreement with Libya in the same spirit during the Qaddafi government. Since the fall of that government, regional governments have tried to take advantage of the situation at our expense. We won’t allow that!

I doubt Turkey will be able to annex what she says she's willing to annex. That would result into a hot war against Greece, Egypt, France to mention a few.
