    Summing up the recent drone strike on Afrin: - AGM-114R9X "Ninja Bomb" likely used. -Target was an ISIS member "Abu Sanad al-Huss" active in SNA areas. -Coalition denies responsibility for the strike. -The strike was most likely carried out by the CIA.

    Breaking: a drone strike targeted a car near the town of al-Bassuta in Afrin region.

    With the target identified as an ISIS member, and the coalition denying responsibility, I think that we can be very sure that the strike was carried out by the CIA.

    Update 12: CENTCOM spokesman just confirmed to me that the coalition was not responsible for the airstrike that killed Abu Sanad al-Huss and his two comrades on December 7.

    The Turkish-backed SNA is officially sheltering ISIS members in Turkish-occupied areas in northern Aleppo.

    Update 11: HTS just confirmed that the strike targeted Sa'd al-Hus known "Abu Sanad al-Hus." The group said that he was working with ISIS, run away from Idlib last year. In the same time, he was indeed a member of the SNA's Ahara al-Sham. ID found with him was not forged.

    Update 7: sources in Ahrar al-Sham confirmed the presence of a group member by the name Sa'd al-Hus "Abu Sanad al-Hus", said that he is a commander of the group's Special Forces' 2nd regiment. The photo shows an ID found in the strike scene with al-Hus' name.

    I had noticed that the blade of the missile that killed al-Muhajir had holes in it, unlike the blades shown in illustrations of the R9X Hellfire. But these are not official illustrations, so who knows!
