So what exactly is the salary for jihadis in Idlib anyway? I'd imagine buying dakka has to be a massive pain.

Most people in Idlib are very poor.

Dunno about HTS, but Liz had this on NLF and SNAhttps://twitter.com/Elizrael/status/1190348999880060928…

Elizabeth TsurkovVerified account @ElizraelThe Syrian Interim Gov doesn't have control even over the Syrian "National Army" - Turkey does. The Idlib & Aleppo-based NLF hasn't actually been absorbed into the SNA: one sign is that salaries of NLF are still ~$8 per month while SNA salaries are $50. https://twitter.com/LarsHauch/status/1190348330699776000 …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
Ashida said $100/month for HTS fighters at ribat points was "a dream" during his video in September, so significantly lower than that

Salaries vary depending on the number of ribat days, family size, but the average/mean HTS - $75 SNA - $50 NLF - $8 TIP - $0

. yeah, because you'd just kick butt in Idlib, and come out of 7 years of civil war like George Clooney in a Nespresso ad.
