We just can't say it enough. Thank you for your support, for believing in our team, and for your patience. The ChopBox Kickstarter campaign has just ended and we reached almost 1.8 million dollars total in funding! Thank you so much for supporting the ChopBox - we can't wait to start sending them out and hearing from you and getting your feedback!

As a reminder, the things we have upgraded or updated throughout this campaign are:

We made the ChopBox have replaceable parts (main cutting surface, second cutting surface, and knife sharpeners)

We made the sound adjustable

We added kilograms and pounds to the scale function (it already had grams and ounces)

What Happens Next?

IN A FEW WEEKS, WE'LL SEND OUT FULFILLMENT SURVEYS.

For those of you who are first-timers to Kickstarter, you may be thinking "Okay, what now?" Well, for the next few weeks, you don't need to do anything. Sit back and relax.

In a few weeks (early to mid-November), we'll send out your fulfillment surveys. In those surveys you will be able to do the following:

Add or update your shipping address

Choose which add-on items you want (if you added them during the campaign)

Add-on additional ChopBoxes or accessories to your reward (at Kickstarter prices)

We send those surveys out using a service called BackerKit. When we send out the surveys, we'll be sure to post/email another update.

Here are some answers to the most-asked questions:

MY PAYMENT FAILED. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

This is SUPER important. If you're one of the folks who had a failed payment, Kickstarter gives you 7 days to correct your credit card information, otherwise, they drop you from the campaign completely. Yes, your pledge gets dropped.

Therefore, please, please, please make sure your credit card on your Kickstarter account is updated by end of day on October 25th, or you will lose your pledge. Kickstarter has directions on how to update this here: https://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/backer+questions#faq_41779

If your payment failed via Kickstarter, there's still a chance for you to get your same rewards for the same Kickstarter price. Simply email support@backerkit.com and ask to be invited as a "preorder backer." You'll then have a chance to purchase any items you want at the Kickstarter price.

Some international payment methods (particularly international bank cards) might not work with BackerKit's payment system. So, you may have to use a credit card for the payment to go through.

WILL I BE ABLE TO CHANGE MY SURVEY AFTER SUBMITTING IT?

Yes, you'll be able to change anything—your address, add-ons, and even pledge level—up until we are ready to start shipping. When we're ready to ship, we will "lock down" all completed surveys, load your info into our shipping software, and begin shipping out your orders. We'll tell you before we lock down the survey so that you have time to look over it and confirm everything.

CAN I BUY MORE STUFF AT THE KICKSTARTER PRICE?

Yes, and this survey is your last chance to do it. When you finish answering the survey questions, you'll be presented with a screen that looks like a web store, and it includes every ChopBox and its accessories. On that page, you can add whatever products you want to your reward, most at a $10-$100 discount. You can even add on more ChopBoxes and the REPLACEABLE BOARD at the Kickstarter price

CHOPBOX WILL SHIP IN DECEMBER 2019

We expect all rewards to ship in the month of December 2019 (the “Super Fast” pledge will ship out in November). Shipping times vary widely across the world. Most shipments will arrive in 3-10 business days, but sometimes they may take as long as 2-3 weeks. So, while your stuff may ship in early December, we cannot guarantee that it will arrive on any specific date.

We're trying our darnedest to manufacture and ship your items as fast as possible. If things go really smoothly, there's a chance we might even start shipping orders before December. We won't know until we're further along in the production process.

As stated in the “risks” section of our Kickstarter page, there's also the chance of things beyond our control affecting shipping timing. November/December is the busiest shipping time of the year globally...ports can get congested, bad weather can happen, shipments can go missing. We have padded our schedule to compensate for these risks, but no one is ever fully immune from potential risks.

Whatever happens, we promise to keep you fully abreast of the situation and set your expectations to the absolute best of our abilities.
