Today I lost my brother, because of the fucking negligence and stupidity of the police. Instead of negotiating with a hostage situation they just shot everyone. (Including my brother) please retweet this so everyone can be aware how stupid these cops are.

Cops just unloaded on an innocent UPS driver that was hostage in an armed robbery. You can watch the video for yourself pretty graphic. This happened in Miami.

Meanwhile in France: The mayor of a small town in Isère (Eastern France), expelled a Muslim student from school on the grounds that he refused to eat his meat at lunch at the school cafeteria. Yes, you read that right.

Introverts don't hate conversation, just small talk. try leading with something more interesting: "What's your favorite novel?" "That reminds me of a fascinating dream." "The powers granted me are mighty, but terrible. Their unspeakable secrets will follow me to my grave."

  9. Libertarianism and imperialism may be inseparable, much as the Shire enjoyed its idyllic peace due to the Dunedain that guarded its borders from all manners of evil.

  10. I don't think small govt can exist without big govt. The libertarian fantasy is possible only because the most militarised empire in history provides space deep within its heartland for said fantasy to exist.

In the chapters on baghy (rebellion), many commentators note that Sdna Uthman faced a rebellion but did not quell it as Sharia requires, because he saw that war in Madina would be worse, and that a ruler may choose not to enforce a hukm of interaction if it poses greater harm.

  12. This isn't an argument for statism, socialism or unregulated capitalism etc. It's to demonstrate that we have been so uncreative with govt in the modern era that we need to refer to forms of govt that existed in environments radically different(and little relevance) from our own.

  13. These things are less about what is Islamic and more about what is pre-modern. Small govt and tax existed because high govt and tax couldn't, without the technologies of post-industrial rev. Post rev, do we stick to medieval tracts on governance and taxation or think bigger?

In Xinjiang, Chinese police are using the blood and faces of an oppressed minority to craft dystopian technologies that may not even work. For years, they’ve been publishing their findings in respected international journals. W/

The whole sorry affair is on video, including an entire row of gormless attendees, latte-in-hand, just watching a black man with a white cane being manhandled. And THIS sort of place is the assembly line where future politicians are put together. No wonder we are fucked. 4/END

Odd editorial stance: 'police should massacre protesters trapped in a university'

  22. A lot of the HK protests seem to be driven by youth bored with their hyper-stress, sterilised, stable environment. They go out into the street in uniform, masked, armed and organised and wage war against authority. Every teenager's dream is to play war like this.

  23. The only reason British Asians are so enthusiastic for Corbyn is welfare, unfettered migration for their illiterate farmer relatives and token support for Palestine (which covers up for his tacit support for Russian-backed slaughter of Muslims in Bosnia, Kosovo, Syria etc)

  24. Being a Muslim in the West means voting for one side which will support western killing of Muslims in other countries but voting for the other side will support Russian/"axis of resistance" killing of Muslims in other countries. In this sense, Corbyn is certainly not our saviour.

  28. These people attack capitalism and show that they don't even understand the basics of how the market work. It's like the inverse of pro capitalists defending wealth concentration and gig economy (symptoms of a breaking capitalism). Both groups are dumb.

Guys, this is “interference.” It is just as bad as anything the Chinese are doing. We cannot continue with the Saudis as our allies. There is no case.

  35. Westerners won't move if a Muslim is slaughtered brutally in X other country, but will jump to your defence if your rights are violated as a citizen of a western country. This distinction is odd, but in today's world, it's a far better deal than what China is offering:

Context: China is unique in having built a world-leading transplant system without voluntary donors. What Chinese officials *admit to* is the use of capital prisoners as organ source; what they are *accused of* is use of political prisoners too. See
