Minds Pay (UX)
Rewards Multiplier requirements
We can introduce a Reward Factor based on the user Segments.
The Factor will increase when the user moves to a more active segment and decrease when moving to a less active segment.
The reward factor will be multiplied by the contribution score.
Improve push notifications related to rewards
- Sending a daily notification about the total rewarded tokens in the previous day and allow the user to click and see the breakdown.
- Sending a notification to inform the user on his move to a higher activity user segment (e.g. congratulations, you have moved from the casual to the core league).
- Sending a preemptive notification and an email to inform the user about the risk of dropping to a lower activity segment (e.g. oops, you are about to drop down from the core league to the casual league, you will earn less token because of that).
Goals
- Rebrand Wire to Pay
- Improve transaction volumes of tips and paid subscriptions
- Improve p2p earnings for creators
- Improve discovery of monetized content
- Plan future monetization integrations with groups and messenger
Tasks
- Launch new marketing page that rebrands /wire to /pay
- Simplify set up process for creators to build and present subscription tiers
- Add a Premium filter to discovery and channels to make it easier to find and subscribe to
- Re-design post modal to be less cluttered and more clear how to restrict posts to certain audiences
- Make payment modal contextual based on where the user accesses it from (tip vs. subscription)
- Update button on posts to say "Tip" with stack of tokens as icon
- Allow creators to view who is in each of their different subscription tiers
- Paywalls should indicate which subscription tier can access and display the title of the media for more context
- Build foundation for physical marketplace in addition to digital (next phase)

Token Purchasing [WIP]
There's functional lapover here with the wallet, so please feel free to move if necessary. See below work to date on an improved token purchase flow. So much of the process is outside of our hands, from Meta Mask setup to manually sending a bank transfer / BTC. The proposed approach makes the high-level process quite a bit clearer. Note also the user is able to change their payment method (ETH, BTC or USB) during the process.
Subscriptions / Tipping [WIP]
See below IV link for Minds Pay, for both Tipping and Subscription contexts. Tipping and Subscriptions and essentially two sides of the same coin. In the attached wireframes, we are functionally separating the two. If in the event a user simply tries to tip a channel, a notice will appear that they are automatically subscribing to subscription tier. Tiers also have greater capacity for descriptions.

@michaelfbradley not sure how far you got with those subscription mockups but it would be good to get some of the initial drafts into the Mockups table above so we can start iterating on them.
Is Invision the best place to leave comments and feedback for you to update, in addition to reviewing together on calls?

Hey @jotto141 - Wireframes added for Minds Pay (Tipping and Subscribing).
These have evolved somewhat since we last spoke last. Happy to go through them on our next call.
Also @jotto141 - the latest token purchase flow has been added to the above epic.

@jotto141 @michaelfbradley do you think the token purchase flow should be included in this epic? It seems like it might be better in its own epic.
@markeharding have you looked at these mockups yet? Might be a good idea to comment before the meeting tomorrow because they are pretty much ready minus a few decision points.

Moving over a comment from @Bunjaman
I'm not really clear on what exactly this means "Reward Factor based on the user Segments" so you might need an in depth explanation on launch. Because to me it can mean one of two things (and you might even think of it as a third thing)
- It can mean that the more I engage the bigger the reward factor becomes or
- If I engage in popular topics my factor goes up. Now this could potentially be a problem if you nudge people away from the more unpopular posts or topics people will get the feeling that you are soft censoring them, since people will be disincentivized to engage in less popular stuff.
I'm not saying that I think of it this way, but given your roll out of the new NSFW and penalty system and how people reacted to that you should be really careful how you word and present this and also be aware of the consequences of the incentives you put in place.
