  3. Indeed yes it had. I counted dozens of armed cars and Syrian National Army fighters in the marketplace but more civilians. The marketplace is on a route we used as well. Many cars of the are using this route as well and most of them stop there to shop.

  4. I doubt the regime's capacity to bomb a target precisely at night. Even if, they wouldn't take the risk by themselves without a greenlight from Russia. Likely: After the deal with the , Russia wants to ensure control over traffic in Syria and to further pressure Turkey

  7. This is the same place just one day before the car bomb attack by the terror group. It was a very busy and chaotic marketplace. I hope that none of the children who watched from behind the camera and had a small chat with me are safe. 17 were killed, 20 were wounded...

  23. "There are significant differences. The situation in northeast Syria is a direct threat to Turkey’s national security, but the situation in Idlib is not for Russia. A Russian-backed operation on Idlib would be catastrophic as TR can’t bear the burden of 2 million more refugees."

Syrian regime fired a ballistic missile against an IDP camp in Idlib. Just think about that. But don’t take too long because it has been doing this since it first fired SCUDS against Aleppo in 2014. Next time you hear an “expert” say it’s better for Assad to win, remember this.

  26. "Every side is using its energy to gain a bigger piece of the cake in northeast Syria, except for Iran. The latest attack on the IDP camp in Qah, in its inhuman brutality has no military purpose but was intended to shift the focus from northeast Syria to Idlib."

  31. The return of IDPs IN ES to their homes previously occupied by the YPG is an important dynamic. It has a double effect. Return to home to newly liberated areas and return to ES. Many refugees use ES as a temporary place to return home later but stay in Syria in the meantime.
