最近メイン水槽（１２０ｃｍ）の水かえが、週一で５０％ペースになりました。換えても換えても
一方に流木の黄バミがとれません。写真を撮るのも躊躇するほど汚いです。
と、いうわけで、遠くからの写真です・・・・
I started water changes to my main tank (75 US gallon) once a week at a 50% base. The colour
of water is still yellowish due to a massive amount of wook pieces in the tank. Well, I cannot take
a good picture of fish for now...., but here is some whole images of the tank.
こちらがいわゆる、流木がただ入っている状態。月に２本ほど追加していますが、入るところに入れて、
ただ沈むのを待つだけ。何のレイアウトもしていない為、底の方に古い流木がたまり、大型個体、特に
アグアプレコが餌をとりにくくなっています。小さなパナクエが餌を食べるのはまだ良いのですが、
中型で木を食べさせたい個体も、アグアより先に餌を摂ってしまいます。
This is the tank. I just threw bunch of wood pieces in. No landscaping, so there are many pieces
on the bottom. This is not good for big pleco, especially for Acanthicus adonis. I would not mind
small Panaque nigro. eating some pellets, but not for midium sized ones. I rather let them eat
more wood than fish food.
そこで水かえを機に、流木のレイアウトを変えました。右側はポンプの水流も強く、少々レイアウトが
込み合ってもゴミが溜まりにくいので、複雑に枝流木を組み上げます。私は水面までの距離
いっぱいまで積むのが好きです。ここは枝流木の利点で、積み上げて他の枝とからませて
固定しやすいです。ちょうど塩ビのプレコハウスの周りを取り囲むように組んでいます。
一応一番上は、浮いてしまう新しい流木のためにとっておきました。新しい流木を入れると、
組んである流木をスルスルと伝って、新流木のお味見をしに魚が集まります。
I changed the layout of wood piecies while changing water. The right side has a strong
current, so I can build a stracture of wood pieces not to worry about buildups. I like
to use the space from the bottom to the top of the tank. This is a big advantage of
use of branched wood piecies. I can fix the position by puzzling them together.
I put PVC sections for large plecos at the center of the stracture. The empty space
on the surface is for new branches that tend to float for a while. You can see fish
swimming up to the new branches along the complex wood stracture.
そして左側は、このように餌場としてあけておきます。配合餌料を入れた場合は、ディスカスやアグアが
食べやすそうに餌を摂るでしょう。餌を食べていても目が届きやすいため、大きなロイヤルが
餌場に入ってきても、直ぐに追い出されます。ゴミも餌も、ここに溜まります。ロイヤルは流木と
ニンジンを食べさせているので、そこまで人工餌に執着しませんが、プラチナは流木も
ニンジンもあまり齧らないので、人工餌を物欲しそうに眺めています。
The left side of the tank has a spacious feeding ground. Discus and A. adonis will take
care pellets and atack to any large Panaque that coming to this area. Pellets remain
this area and so do tank wastes. Panaque feed on carrots and wood, so they do not
persist on pellets very much. But Xingu royal Panaque do not eat either of wood and
carrots very much... so, they stear pellets from a distance.
