This is completely and utterly untrue, there is no obscure life-limited hardware part of the Switch, you can keep enjoying Pokémon Sword & Shield without any brick risk.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND.
Legit tho, protect your investments, people. Wait for the patch or, knowing game freak, the updated version.

This is NOT untrue
The game uses the NAND flash memory as RAM
Flash memory is limited in the number of writes it can withstand and should not be used as RAM, as RAM is constantly rewriting, especially in this game
Your console will die faster than others in the long term
Games are only have NAND write access to their allocated savedata space and that's it, which SwSh uses for savedata only, so this is also completely untrue
I'm not the one with this info, but this is what's been going around from emulator-savvy users
Your guess is as good as mine if it's true but what I do know is that nothing in a game console is permanent, things (especially flash memory) get worn down from frequent use
