I think the appropriate response is to still plan the medleys. Just go silent during the "forbidden" songs while the chiron/big screen behind Taylor for those seeing her in person thanks Scott and Scooter for this moment of silence.

This is why nobody does record labels in rap anymore. Every other genre needs to actually take something from rap and simply do distribution deals, not record deals.
-
And just start your own label so you can own everything. I mean "Swift Trax" (Swift Records is already a thing) would be rad.

Hey, Prince became a symbol for this very reason. And I'd argue he's a much bigger artist that Taylor. This isn't new.
-
Not sure anyone is arguing it's new but that it's still occuring. Should we not talk about it because it happened before??

Yep. You might remember when Kesha was forced to work with her abuser because of her contract. Completely unexeptable and does not seem to happen to male artists.

In the 90s there were several boy bands (maybe solo artists, not sure) who were completely screwed over by their manager, Lou Pearlman. I’m not sure if his Ponzi scheme was well known enough to stop that kind of scam, or if it still happens and we just haven’t heard yet.
