FAQ
If you have any questions not answered below, we welcome you to ask them in our community.
We are excited and looking forward to hearing your feedback.
When will mine ship?
Our goal is to ship production units by May 1st, 2020. Since our operations are in Shenzhen, China, we have considered in this goal that most factories are at or near capacity during the holiday season until the New Year. Additionally, we considered the Chinese New Year that will lead to a complete shutdown for most factories for a few weeks around the beginning of February. With all this considered and based on our experience producing products in high volume, we believe our goal is attainable as long as there aren't any unforeseen setbacks. We promise to be as transparent as possible and will regularly post updates in our community forum.
Why doesn't Pocket P.C. have X or Y feature?
We designed Pocket P.C. to be as reliable as possible while being simple to manufacture. We are open to hearing your suggestions on what the final unit must have. If there is a general consensus that something is missing and must be added we will consider it. You are welcome to join our community and let us know what you think!
At what stage is product development?
We have completed sourcing of all the components and have finished the electrical design. We have already produced multiple PCB prototypes and have finished the keyboard firmware. After we reach our crowdfunding goal, we will give the green light to our manufacturers to produce the tooling for the enclosure.
