To The Goosey Family,

I do not know any of you and for reasons unknown to me, I did read and keep track of the tragic deaths of your son and his girl friend. I usually do not pay much attention when I read so much bad news in the papers, but I felt wounded to the heart concerning these two young people. Such intelligence, such beauty, such youth, and to be taken away in such a swift and cruel way... it breaks my heart.

Dear Johnny,

It will soon be a year since you departed from this world...and it's still hard for me to accept life without you in it. You leave me with so many memories. Those moments I will forever cherish and hold dearly in my heart. Every time I ride my bike, I can't help but think of you. Sometimes I'll see two birds nearby, and it gives me comfort to imagine that it's you and Stacy, watching out for all of us.
You were such a beautiful person, with such intelligence...

Dr. Goosey and family - We are so saddened to hear the news about your son and his girlfriend. Our family is praying for you this holiday season and we pray that God sends you the great comforter to heal your hearts. Please cherish the good times you had with him. For he rests with God now.

Dear Claire, John and Leslie: We heard about the terrible news of Johns death today. Our daughter Itziar (she is still in Houston) sent us the news this morning. She was in Madrid in July when the tragedy happened. That is why we only found out today. We can not belief it, we are still in shock. We saw Johnny the last time in London when you where visiting Leslie. He was such a kind spirited young fellow. I knew he was studying in Austin, because I asked Itziar now and then about Johnny....

I was very saddened to learn of the loss of your son, John. My thoughts are with you and I pray for God to lift you up. My brother, Rick, was taken from our family when he was twenty. I know how heartbroken you must be. I have a twnty one year old daughter & seventeen year old son. I can't imagine your pain. My Mother's faith was a huge comfort to her when my brother died. Although we have never met, I have had several e-mails with Claire regarding genealogy. I can truly say we know how you feel as we lost our oldest son a couple of years ago very unexpectedly. You are in our thoughs and prayers.
