I want to take a look into Jitsi this week. I have heard numerous reports of issues.

Any extra information you feel may be valuable please do add.

When I enter a gathering:

1. and i turn on my mic, without setting it as the default device in Firefox, I can talk, but cant hear anyone
2. if my mic (output device) is set to default in FF, then I can hear, but not talk.
3. if I am the first person in the room, then everything works fine.

It has been working better for me recently? Can I close?

Still some reports of it not working, experienced one of these yesterday. I'm of the feeling that we should upgrade Jitsi but I'll have a probe into it with a couple of devices this week and see if I can isolate a specific issue.

We still have some issues using Jitst, but recovering from them seems a lot easier...ie we dont have to go to another room.

@benhayward.ben can you check if the jitsi version we are using is the most up to date?

Spoke with Mark about this, rather than word it out, this is how Jitsi works:

We think the issues lie on Jitsi's end, on the line connecting their two servers. Regardless we will be updating the SDK to be sure this is the case, and hopefully will get the bug fixes in the latest update.
