Who told the Rothschild family that they were Jews? Probably older family members and possibly their fellow followers of Judaism. Never forget that a Jew is a follower of Judaism. Jew is NOT the name of race, just like Christian is NOT the name of a race. Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism etc are all RELIGIONS. A real Jew is someone who follows the teachings of Judaism. Any race of people can be a Jew, just as any race of people can be Buddhist.

The race of the people who are calling themselves "Israelis" is European, hence their claim that they are the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Yacob, is laughable. The first Europeans to enter Africa, (where the whole history of God's chosen people takes place) were the Greeks and that happened centuries after the death of King Solomon. People who believe these Khazars are simply imposters who have claimed the history of an African race, are correct.

I don't know why the Palestinians are not demanding proof from the Khazars of their claim that they are descended from Yacob and are therefore entitled to have a homeland in Palestine. The Palestinians should demand this proof because there is far too much evidence to disprove the Khazars ridiculous claim. Without evidence in their favour the Khazars must return to Europe from whence they came.

Judaism isn't a race and Rothchild isn't the family name, it's Mayer. Rothchild was the name of the money lending business which made the family famous.

The Mayers of Rothchild are ashkenazi. This is an ethnicity which formed due to the immigration of jews into Europe and their practice of judaism.

Ashkenazi jews are genetically, primarily European but have genetic information which also links them to other ethnicities associated with judaism, and the middle east. For example, the kohanim chromosome is found with high prevalence among ashkenazi populations and jewish Ethiopian populations, though is rarely found in non-jewish populations which surround both of these groups.

A convert to judaism is considered as jewish as any other jew. So even if you were Chinese and converted to judaism, you'd be a jew.

So whether or not European jews descend from Khazars is irrelevant with respect to judaism.

Ehm, if the Khazars sojourned with Israel, accepted G-d as being their G-d, and followed the statutes given to Israel... well, let's just say that by your logic, Bathsheba, Zipporah, and many others - including their descendants - weren't - and aren't Jews.
